Had a big laugh at the people all saying David De lol
Perhaps some people aren't as shortsighted as to base their opinion on the first few games a young keeper has had after moving to the top club in a foreign country and much more physically demanding league? He's had some excellent displays this season as well, don't let the media trick you into thinking he's some massive error prone joker.

I'm willing to bet that you haven't seen him play this year and still buying into the tabloid nonsense that he's crap. Go take a look what VDS and Schmeichel where doing at his age.

You mean like Szczęsny has, anyone saying De Gea over Szczęsny or Krul is just a complete idiot.

De Gea is awful at controlling the box, awful at set pieces and perhaps even worse at shot stopping. The pundits feel a little sorry for him now and have recently started praising him for making saves any championship keeper should be making.

Far to skinny to be a keeper.

Chesney moved to Arsenal at the age of fifteen.

But kudos for your overall lack of knowledge.
I know he did hence why he sounds english, you said "young keeper has had after moving to the top club in a foreign country" which is exactly what he did.

The only point you have is controlling his box, which at first was poor, but this has got much better recently. His shot stopping is incredible and up there with the best in the league, as his his distribution (makes some long passes that scholes would be proud of). Go tell Casillas he's an idiot then, he knows that the Spanish number one jersey is only his for a few more years.

He's been training to play in the PL since he was 15.

He's had six years to adapt to the game, the culture and learn the language. That is a massive advantage.

I know Arsenal have decent prospects for the future (always is the case, keeping them is the problem)

Not including Wilshere, Sturridge, Welbeck, Smalling, Jones etc. because they are established Premier league players essentially.

    Top 5:

    Chamberlain
    Miyaichi
    Cleverly
    Long
    McEathran

So its fair to compare a Keeper with one season in the league to a keeper who has been playing in England for years, and in the Pl for at least 2 years. the irony being DDG has let in less goals of course.

Also, whats with the Arsenal bumming. We all know very few of their players ever come to anything. Look at Vela, Lansbury, Reyes, Walcott, Eastmond, Mereida and who knows who else as proof. Aaron Ramsey is most certainly not one of the country's best prospects.

You really think theres that much difference between Spanish and English youth football ?

    lol

He's far too weak, awful at control and commands no respect.

Not cut out for the, Prem stop believing what baconface tells you.

Szczęsny has been on the books at Arsenal for four or five years, played for Brentford for a season and came back as third or fourth choice keeper, it's hardly the same as being signed for a massive fee and being thrown straight in at number one for the champions. It takes players a while to settle into new leagues, teams and surroundings though don't embarrass yourself by writing him off just yet.

Overlooking the fact that Arsenals defence is one of the most awful in the league.

I hate arsenal, but Wilshere and Szczęsny will become fantastic players.
