OP, if you have a smartphone then install a sleep app that will wake you up at an ideal stage of sleep. They do this by using the accelerometer, but it does a good enough job. I use "sleep as android". I f I say I want to wake up at 7, it might wake me up at 6.47 if that would be a better time to wake up. I don't feel so groggy then, as I've come out of a lighter stage of sleep.
