    My perfect paper would be:

    9 marker - three reasons why older/younger people are/are not as religious anymore

    18 marker - on gender/age/ethnicity

    33 marker - on sects and cults

    Yeah !
    I only have 4 but here goes;

    Postmodernism seems to be contradictory; it says that people have lost faith in the major religions and are individual ('pick n mix') in their approach to relgious belief and practice, yet Davie says that people still look to religion for a sense of belonging, support and guidance (rites of passage and identity)

    Postmodernists seem to have exaggerated the use of the media and globalisation in converting people to new beliefs. Most people actually watch and use religious media that confirms their existing beliefs rather than seeking out a new religion.

    It has also underestimated the importance of traditional religions; Islam is the fastest growing religion in the UK and there are still 1 billion Catholics in the world.

    NRMs and NAMs are relatively small in number, therefore indicating the break up and fragmentation of religion, rather than a religious revival.

    Also, I think you could possibly link to fundamentalists. The increasing modernisation of the world is actually causing people in traditional religions to become more fundamental. Such as fundamentalist Muslims using their religion to resist the imposed modernisation upon them

    Me too haha!
    Thanks so much!

I had the most RUBBISH Sociology teacher who just gave us colourful sheets that were the textbook copy and pasted and talked about how she graduated from the prestigious LSE and how her degree is better than anyone elses -.- she told me my 33 marker needs to be 15 paragraphs

    it's basically just about Weber, he is talking about the spirit of Calvinism which helped bring about change. In the past capitalism was about greed for wealth where people spent their money on luxury consumption and now it's based on profit or profits sake. There's then the 4 calvinist beliefs which are: predestination- god choses if he's going to save you or not. 2 divine transcendence- no one can ever know if they've been chosen or not and they can't do anything about it. 3. ascetisim- leading the simple life and 4. the idea of vocation or calling where you have to work hard to honour gods name and shunning luxury so with the money to just reinvest in the buisness etc which is how weber believes modern capitalism came about hope that made sense!

    Yeah, I guess Maybe secularisation then? Secularisation was part of the 18 marker last year. It could still come up though. It definitely won't be the perspectives again; I'm sure of it.

    Remember the 9 mark question could be split into two (3 marks and 6 marks)

    There aren't many evaluation marks, I think you would get a lot for application really.

    As there are a lot of names in each theory, do you think you'd get an AO2 mark if you just made up a name and theory but it made sense? Surely they can't know every single criticism and theory?
