Hiya, I know there's a few netbook threads out there already but wondered if anyone could help me out with choosing a netbook?

I already have a main laptop but it's a few years old and a tad bulky so i'm after a cheap netbook that i can just take with me to type up uni notes and things whilst i'm out and about. I'm not fussed about much else as i still use my old laptop for most things.

Ideally i'd like something under £150 but no idea what half the stuff means when i look at them online,especially as i can't work out if you get writing software like office on them?

I found a Acer Aspire One Netbook Blue for sale second hand for £100 which seemed o.k,anyone got any opinions on them or if it would be good for what i want??

any help or advice appreciated...sorry if i seem too blonde and sound stupid!!

why dont you try second hand one's instead of brand new ones as they would be even cheaper and most will already have office installed on them. Also as you only want it for typing and browsing, its hardly worth it to get a new one... im using a second hand one and its the bessssssssssstt !!!

I think it is quite decent for browsing and typing.

It had Windows 7 starter on it. I added a programme to put in a background. I only use it for college and browsing every now and again. I have a laptop but it's hooked up to a second monitor and other stuff so moving it is a pain.
