Try some nuffield, its really similar to new spec. Although you'll find some unit 5 stuff in unit 4.

You can get nuffield papers from here :http://www.edexcel.com/i-am-a/studen...astpapers.aspx
Make sure not to select GCE 2008, but instead GCE 2000, there you will find nuffield papers.

For the organic synthesis, you need to remember all organic reactions, tests and synthetic techniques.

If you want to improve your grade, learn and remember all the organic stuff(reagents, conditions, mechanisms etc.), relatively easy marks in my opinion.
With the other topics, transition metals/redox, all i can say to you is take the time to understand them properly.

Which textbook are you using?

I use the Hodder Education textbook, the best in my opinion.

hey guys...i was looking at the salters papers yeah..for unit 5 chem there are so many of them for each year..like it says unit 5A, unit 5B..C,D,E..
So which one are we suppose to do ???

I won't be too gutted if I get a B in Chemistry, an A would be sweet but I'm not pushing hard in chemistry. I need to get a B in biology otherwise there's no uni for me

Someone told you to look at Salters papers? That's not good advice as OCR B papers are completely different to the Edexcel ones.
