you might as well eat it but just restirct your calories, mayeb not 700 but no more than 1400
And speak for yourself. I can't remember the last time I had a bag of crisps (and yes I do find them delicious) and I haven't had chocolate for a good few weeks now and I absolutely adore chocolate. Does it mean I'll never have it? Of course not. It's just not a part of my regular diet, just as chips, cake and chinese take aways aren't save the very odd occassion. Not that I drink a lot of alcohol anyway but I had my first night out without it and had a good time - I'd like to think I don't 'need' it and can live without it. It takes a lot of willpower if it's something you're used to eating but people can change. Encouraging people to do the wrong thing just because you can't live a certain way is not cool. -

I see the point you're making, I did almost exactly this (not exercising, eating mainly crap but very few calories) a couple of months ago. It's nice to see the weight shedding so quickly isn't it? But then I found that's lost so much muscle tone that getting back into sport was really hard - I got tired after 5 minutes on the treadmill, and after a few minutes of a very tame tennis game I was exhausted - in fact I was pretty much tired all the time. It felt awful.
Tis better to eat more but exercise so the energy is fed into muscle repair to give you a nice toned body, oh and have you thought about eating more staple foods like brown rice and whole meal bread? Cause they make you feel nice and full and are pretty good for you without being watery and unfulfilling like salad.
Please take our advice, not exercising and not eating enough sheds the pounds quickly but that's about it! -

Everybody s body is different (metabolism rate) ... so different things suite different people.....I know people have tonnes of cheese and fried stuff but never even put on a kilo becoz their metabolism is very high.... unlike me ... if I eat too much junk I would put on weight easily!!!

So in this case emilyteackae s diet suits her so she can follow it but 700 calories is quite low!!!! Even people on diets have 1000 calories a day min.!!! -

She is ramming high amounts of sugar into her diet with no exercise or anything else. That is an express ticket to type 2 diabetes.
If she dodges that bullet, then she will most likely have other problems with her stomach and possibly her liver, not to mention being permanently lethargic with hormone problems. -

As for the bit in bold, you'll just end up piling on the weight again and be at square one or even heavier. How is this an effective way to lose weight? 700 calories is not a diet anyone can or should maintain and not paying attention to what you eat will guarantee you will never maintain any weight lost as you'll only fall back into bad habits like you admitted. -

Damn...700 Calories is low. You may be losing weight but you'll be malnourished, espeically if you make up the 700 calories with crisps, chocolate, etc.
I'd rather have a balanced diet with around 2000 calories + exercise than do what you're doing to yourself. -

i'm sure she gets the point, so why don't people stop making sarcastic comments, trying to sound super intelligent. It's just really annoying, one person against a good hundred here. She does eat a balanced diet for gawds sake, she's already told us she it's fruit every now and then, a lot of teenagers have fruit "every now and then", a lot of teenagers eat junk food, what she's fundamentaly trying to say is, on a diet do not restrict yourself to food which others might deem as boring: fruit, veg etc, and you can implement a little treat every now and then into your diet, but watch your calories.
I know I'd probably get a reply to this after an hour of analysing by some insecure, pompous, grammar nazi, but try to understand what Ms Teacake is trying to say first, rather than just make infuriating, irrational and hurtful comments! -

I dont understand why people try to say a diet counting calories doesnt lose weight.
I tried for years only eating vegetables and salad but was so hungry all the time that I caved in and binged.
Now I eat whatever I want but no more than 700 calories and all my friends have commented about how skinny I am since I lost the weight.
I eat crisps and chocolate and bread and whatever I want and it's easy because I'M not limiting myself to boring foods, sure you do get hungry still but it's bareable and better than the hunger from eating simply salad.
I know this sounds unhealthy but I make sure I still have fruit and salad etc under my calorie control at least every other day.
I dont even excersize
Google IIFIYM and learn what actual nutrition is, because IIFIYM is NOT healthy. -

Chocolates typically contain about 250-450 calories per bar, and bread is about 90-100 calories/bread. Crisps are about 100-300 calories per packet. If you literally only eat one chocolate bar, two breads and one crisp packet in a day, then yes you'd eat 700 calories but that's neither good for you, nor recommended
My guess is that it's highly unlikely that you're only ingesting 700 calories -
