Re: The Official Sussex FIRMERS 2012 Entry Thread
Yeah, I will hopefully also be there on the first day, though it is a little bit tricky when you come from abroad.
I will be doing Media Practice and already can't wait for it to start. Plus, I've gotten into Swanborough, which was my first choice accommodation. -
Re: The Official Sussex FIRMERS 2012 Entry ThreadYep but we're not publishing details for another few weeks. Anything in particular you're curious about? I might be able to help unless it is something on our secret list(Original post by mintaltoids)
Btw does anyone know anything about freshers' week yet? I'm so curious..

Re: The Official Sussex FIRMERS 2012 Entry ThreadWhat's the talk about freshers week only being 2/3 days this year? Because that kinda sucks(Original post by SussexJo)

Re: The Official Sussex FIRMERS 2012 Entry ThreadThe University have changed how the academic year is structured so the term starts earlier than in previous years and teaching starts on the Thursday of Freshers Week (rather than on the following Monday) but don't worry, we'll have events all week(Original post by Joshbrown)

Re: The Official Sussex FIRMERS 2012 Entry Thread
Wondering if anybody had any advice for me, I've firmed Sussex for Sociology, but as of recent I really really want to swap courses to Sociology and philosophy! I took Philosophy at A level and hoping for an A... (fingers crosses ahh!!) Do you think I'd stand a chance of swapping if I emailed them, waited till I get there (if I get there) or is it possible to get there through clearing?

Re: The Official Sussex FIRMERS 2012 Entry ThreadI swapped my degree course after results by emailing admissions, but then again I was taking a gap year. I also then changed half of my degree a year into it(joint major), so I'd say Sussex is pretty flexible as long as you can demonstrate your enthusiasm and commitment to your 'new' degree.(Original post by la Mia Cara)

Re: The Official Sussex FIRMERS 2012 Entry ThreadThanks so much for the information! I'm gunna wait till I have my results before sending some pleading emails, as I don't want them to agree then make my offer higher D:(Original post by gemini89)

Re: The Official Sussex FIRMERS 2012 Entry ThreadIf results day goes well I'm coming down from Newcastle. Any further North and you're in Scotland!(Original post by swbp)
Is there anyone not from Kent/Sussex/London/Hampshire, as apparently coming from Suffolk will make me "northern". SUFFOLK IS NOT IN THE NORTH!
Good luck to everyone for their results!! -
Re: The Official Sussex FIRMERS 2012 Entry Thread
Haven't heard any info about accommodation yet and it seems people have got their accommodation set, I completed the application for it on the first day and got the acknowledgement email... Do I have to be worried or is this only for people who've got their place confirmed? Shold I have recieved an email about a room offer by now? They are about to confirm my place they just need a stamp on the results paperwork from my current Uni. Isn't accommodation set regardless of the place being confirmed? Info would be appreciated, thanks.

Re: The Official Sussex FIRMERS 2012 Entry ThreadYour place needs to be confirmed for accommodation to be arranged. Maybe you can find out more here: http://www.sussex.ac.uk/residentials...aq/allocations(Original post by hass147)
