Re: The Official Sussex FIRMERS 2012 Entry ThreadYeah I got one too, they do it to loads of people to make sure you haven't just lied about your grades(Original post by Charlotte Halls)
Has anyone else been emailed asking for confirmation of a GCSE grade? I've already firmed for psychology but I got an email yesterday asking to send them a scan of proof of my gcse Maths grade and I don't know why

Is there anyone not from Kent/Sussex/London/Hampshire, as apparently coming from Suffolk will make me "northern". SUFFOLK IS NOT IN THE NORTH!

Anyone doing any Economics courses at Sussex this year?
I've firmed them for Economics & Management, their requirements are AAB. Really hope I get in, doubting it...
Hi
Yeah I've firmed Sussex for Economics BSC at AAB, I too really hope I get in and meet the requirments haha... waiting anxiously for results day, did you go to one of the economics "visit days"? the new academic building for economics dept should be pretty nice, if I get in ha, not overly keen on my insurance of UEA at ABB.
p.s what A levels do you do? -
Re: The Official Sussex FIRMERS 2012 Entry ThreadHey, glad to see someone is doing Economics! I do Business, Economics and Maths for A level, what about you?(Original post by itrader)

I didn't go to their visit days, but i was told by sussex to visit them whenever i wanted to, so thinking about going soon.
I was going through all the Sussex Uni threads on Student Room to see how lenient they are.. Clearly not expecting to be accepted. Do you know of anything about Sussex as to how lenient they are if you miss your grades by 1 or 2? -
Re: The Official Sussex FIRMERS 2012 Entry ThreadI did Economics, French and politics plus as Physics. The economics department and in actual fact the whole uni looked great when I visited, especially as there's the new "academic building" for economics, just got to hope that I get the grades ha...(Original post by Shummana)

Re leniency, I've no idea yet I hope they are in case I miss a grade
What's your insurance and what offer did you get from Sussex
Ciao -
Re: The Official Sussex FIRMERS 2012 Entry ThreadI got a conditional offer from Sussex, AAB. My Insurance is Brighton Uni at ABC. What about you?(Original post by itrader)

Re: The Official Sussex FIRMERS 2012 Entry ThreadWow, i hadn't been on studentroom for a looong time. Yeah, i know, but i don't have much choice. My parents will be paying for my accomodation in my first year. Anyways, i put lewes court as my first choice (even though i really wanted brighthelm) , then park houses, park village and finally brighthelm. With a bit of luck ill get my first choice and with even more luck there will be no space in the first 3 and they'll have to put me in brighthelm(Original post by georgemullens)
I myself put northfield, Swanborough, Lewes Court then Brighthelm. they might be expensive, but quite frankly, I don't want to share a bathroom with some other people for an entire year. but even then, you might chose the cheaper accommodation, but chances are, you'll probably spend that extra money on booze
anyways, ive secured my place at Sussex so hopefully I'll be seeing you in september!

Re: The Official Sussex FIRMERS 2012 Entry ThreadCongrats to you, I honestly am feeling so happy for you. Wishing to get in to Sussex for years now, hope this year is for me.(Original post by Lavished)
YESS
I got the grades I needed to come to SUSSEX! I will be seeing all of you guys.... in September!!!
What grades did you need by the way? What qualifications? -
Re: The Official Sussex FIRMERS 2012 Entry ThreadThanks! Good luck to you then! I live in France, so I had to get over 13,5 in the french baccalaureat with option international..... That probably doesn't mean much to you, but it's the equivalent of AAB for A levels, I think. Did you apply this year?(Original post by Shummana)

Unconditional offer from Sussex! Waiting for track to change now. I'll be studying Biology. Needed IB34 and ended up getting IB36. I'm so excited to leave to Brighton come September.

Re: The Official Sussex FIRMERS 2012 Entry ThreadYeah, I applied this year. I also applied last year, but i didn't meet the grades so I got into Brighton Uni through clearing. I'm trying my level best to get in through a transfer this year. I guess you are starting this year in September?(Original post by Lavished)
