Re: Post Election results and discussionThe Labour government of the 13th, 14th and 15th Parliaments. Obviously there have been different coalition partners.(Original post by TheCrackInTime)
Which government would that be exactly? The Labour/Lib Dem/Centre/UKIP one from last April, the Labour/Lib Dem one from last October, the Labour one from this February, or the one that's yet to be formed?
Nice impartiality there though. -
Re: Post Election results and discussionHe doesn't need to be impartial.(Original post by Maddog Jones)

It isn't the labour government.
As he' said it's the Labour/Lib Dem/Centre/UKIP government, the labour/lib dem government and the labour government. Do you not understand coalitions? -
Re: Post Election results and discussionWouldn't hold your breath there...(Original post by JPKC)
I have this old fashioned belief that merit should play some role in this process. Other than TopHat, who occasionally engages with policy debate (like he did during the election), no Labour Party person has done any proper arguing here - no debating. I was literally the only member commenting more than one sentence on issues in the House - also in the Party sub-forum (though I won't go into detail there). You, xXediXx, David, the Chancellor have not contributed anything even vaguely intellectual and I would like to see that change before I reinvest my confidence in TSR Labour. -
Re: Post Election results and discussionSays the left libertarian(Original post by Tahooper)
Unsurprising results, considering the majority of TSR users are uneducated regarding the area of politics. -

Says the left libertarian -
Re: Post Election results and discussionWho are you sorry? TSR Labour has managed quite well for many years without some random person's confidence - whether you do or don't "reinvest" your confidence in Labour, it will have no bearing on the Party.(Original post by JPKC)
I would like to see that change before I reinvest my confidence in TSR Labour.
Enjoy your time here as an Independent. -
Re: Post Election results and discussionYou mean the 15th Parliament that isn't even in session yet? As you can obviously see into the future, would you mind letting me know Wednesday's Lotto numbers please?(Original post by Maddog Jones)

While Labour has participated in every government since the 13th Parliament, that doesn't equate to one continuous Labour government. It was a collection of coalitions that Labour happened to be a part of, until the Libs dropped out of the last one and left Labour to govern on their own. Even if Labour return to government on their own this term, it would be as a new government because the last PM resigned before the election and left the House with no government.
That's not me being partial (although impartiality isn't required here anyway), that's me stating facts. -
Re: Post Election results and discussionYou call what happened last term "managing".(Original post by Indievertigo)

Sure will. Suits me.Enjoy your time here as an Independent. -
Re: Post Election results and discussionYes, and stating those facts in an incredibly sarcastic, passive-aggressive way. Reeks of either bias against me because I'm Labour and was making a pro-Labour statement, or a personal grudge. I don't believe we've had contact before so I'm going to go with the first option.(Original post by TheCrackInTime)

I'm biased because you posted something that wasn't true and I pulled you up on it?

I wonder why Labour are so popular among the other parties. -

Re: Post Election results and discussionI think your avatar represents what everyone did after finding out the election results.
Self five *slaps own hand."
Those first two pictures are awful. The first because of his face and the position he's in, and the second because of just how blatently staged it is.
I agree that it was completely irrelevant.(Original post by cambo211)
Only just noticed the number of 'TSR politics' signatures with real life political figures and issues being used to gain votes.
You're all dicks.
