It was bought by cheap people for many more cheap people who probably could not realistically tell the difference. The better stuff might be a tad more accessible for modest folk if the EU dropped the blahblahblah "protection of origin" malarky.
It isn't the EU that has that law (although I am sure they do now)... it is France and it is adhered to by much of the world :smug:

I'd love to see some champagne vineyards open up around the UK. I can imagine Château d'Manchester being a glorious drink, let alone Château d'Scunthorpe.

Nothing stopping sparkling wine being made in the UK... just it won't be champagne as it doesn't come from the champagne region of France!!!

Whilst i find it regrettable that the Labour party were unable to form a government I would like to wish the new government all the best, hopefully the UK has a strong government that works in the national interest.

I'll bring the coca cola and lemonade (only the value range mind, I'm not made of money ).
he he, if you want to bring some we're not saying we wont consume it heavily

The Libertarian Party should not have supported a repeal of Sunday business restrictions.Although I found the rest of its policies positive.

Its nice to have one day of the week where its not all about work and shopping.

If sunday is going to be just another day it shouldnt just apply to retail workers

Why not? It is not the governments job to tell people when they can and cannot work.
