Re: Post Election results and discussionIt isn't the EU that has that law (although I am sure they do now)... it is France and it is adhered to by much of the world(Original post by JPKC)
It was bought by cheap people for many more cheap people who probably could not realistically tell the difference. The better stuff might be a tad more accessible for modest folk if the EU dropped the blahblahblah "protection of origin" malarky.

Re: Post Election results and discussionI'd love to see some champagne vineyards open up around the UK. I can imagine Château d'Manchester being a glorious drink, let alone Château d'Scunthorpe.(Original post by tehFrance)

Re: Post Election results and discussionNothing stopping sparkling wine being made in the UK... just it won't be champagne as it doesn't come from the champagne region of France!!!(Original post by JPKC)

Re: Post Election results and discussion
The Libertarian Party should not have supported a repeal of Sunday business restrictions.Although I found the rest of its policies positive.
Its nice to have one day of the week where its not all about work and shopping.
If sunday is going to be just another day it shouldnt just apply to retail workers -
