I'm on American football, so we'll probably see each other about without realising haha! Shame you weren't there this year - Trent Tigers got on sky sports thanks to us! lol

Re: Trent Tigers Cheerleaders - Team of 2012I'm not on Nottingham Trent Tigers but I have been a cheer coach about about 6 years now. From what I know of the team they compete at a relatively high level (last I heard they were on open 4 but that might have changed) which means they will be more selective. You have to think about what position you will be trying out for, I think it's quicker to progress to having level 4 basing skills than it is to fly level 4 skills without having any prior experience. It's the high level tumbling that also doesn't come without practice, although you wouldn't necessarily need to tumble. I know people on level 4/5 that don't.
They may allow you to be on the team without being selected for the competition squads at first so you can just train up first. Sometimes it's also about potential as opposed to what you can actually do now. If it seems like you are dedicated and will pick the skills up quickly then you might just edge it. It's completely different when you try out for a level 2 University team because most people see that as more of a beginning step - tosses don't have to have tricks, no single leg extended libs unless braced, highest level tumble allowed is a BHS series/standing BHS and you can get away with an almost full team walkover as a main tumble.
You should just go along and have fun and see what comes of it. Take along some attitude and be prepared to give everything a go. -
