I firmly believe that every person should be made to work in retail for at least a year. All customers will then know how to act politely and in a proper manner :biggrin:

Agreed! And graduates should have to work in the shop for a bit before they get fast-tracked straight to head office, then they'll stop giving us such daft rules to follow like no heating and no jumpers allowed!

I got called a f***ing b***h by a customer yesterday because I (politely) refused to change a £50 note for him. He wasn't even buying anything! So I expect if you asked my next few customers how my service was they would say I was poor because I was still shaken up about the incident. Everyone is entitled to off days.
