    Hi there,

What course are you going to do at the University of Groningen? Degrees Ahead helps students to apply there and I could pass your details onto our students if you want so that you can get to know them before you go...

PM me if you would like me to do that!

Hi I've got a conditional offers to study Economics and Business Economics. I was wondering if anyone was going to attend the KEI-week? I'm really having a tough time trying to decide whether or not to go, I sounds really exciting but then again it's in early August which cuts my holiday a bit shorter. = S

I'll probably go to KEI week, seems fun. I won't be doing anything else around that time anyway...

I've applied for Psychology, off to a selection day in Groningen at the start of June.

I have been put in the lottery draw for International Relations...fingers crossed its successful! Otherwise, have an offer from Maastricht but would prefer Groningen...

If I do get in, won't be able to go to KEI as I have a summer job in France that I can't leave that early. Hopefully won't miss out on too much!

That's the other reason I won't be going to KEI as I will also be awaiting results.. dont worry, once you have met people on your course, in your house and at sports etc you wont be a loner at all!

Ah yeah this is my problem too! I'll feel like I'll have missed out if I go after KEI week, why does it have to be so early!

And what are you guys planning to do for accommodation?

know it sucks! but i think there might be an introduction week for international students the week after which would be great! as for accommodation i'm going to submit a form to the housing office (http://www.housingoffice.nl/) but i don't know whether to go for private housing or international student housing! what do you think you're going to do?

    Yeah hopefully they do!

Yeah I think I might go for the student housing and maybe move into the private after the 5 months or something, only because I'm guessing it might be easier at first, I don't know really. But apparently that housing thing fills up really quick, but I can't send it off yet cause I need to do a test for psychology first! :s

hey, I applied to International Relations and got accepted to the lottery, could anyone explain to me how that works? Does it depend purely on luck, or do they look through people's grades and CV and accept based on that?

After the welcoming ceremony on the 29th September there's an ESN introduction week which sounds quite similar to the KEI-week? Check it out here: http://www.rug.nl/prospectivestudent...narrival/index = ) x

And also, does anyone know any info about how easy it is to get a job in Groningen? As you need to be working to get a loan?
