    Hi,
I know it might be a bit early for this, but what would you recommend to bring to the accommodation? Kitchen-wise especially...

Actually, did you find anything you brought with particularly useful or absolutely useless?

Guys, i need some help, I am poor so i have gotta chose the cheapest accommodations, I am deciding between eastwood and osborne house standard. but i couldn't see on the website what osborne house is like so i have no idea which one to chose! I am guessing Osborne house would be newer than eastwood. I know the studio rooms are awesome, but i just dont have a clue how to compare the standard one to eastwood. Also it says the price ranges from 88 - 98 pounds, why is that? has it got a (no cleaning service option) just like eastwood?

Hahah I see what you did there!

Bath is probably one of the most calming places I have been to. Yeah just checking I got A*AA as well with A or above in Economics and Mathematics. I doubt many got the AAA but Nottingham applicants seem to have got that :O

Are you contemplating a gap year?

heheh it was abit of an awful play on words but thank you!

I definitely didn't spend all of today looking at Baths societys and stalking BEST (econ soc), such a thrilling life I lead

Ah! mine was including Economics and Maths which I didn't really understand I mean... surely that's already within the offer (seeing as I'm only doing 3 A2s)

Really? Wow, my friend's offer is A*AA hmm funny how quite a few have lowered it, all of York's this year are AAB.

I was, am ish still on the edge. I haven't firmed yet so :/ decisions decisions

    What about you?

LOOL. I did the same the other day

    Yeah exactly lol.

Oh ok, one of my friends got AAA and the other got A*AA. Wow that's pretty nice to get into York. Exeter are still giving their A*AA offers

So was I until I realised I am only taking it to get into University's with more prestige, which isn't necessary I feel now. I have firmed now.

Yes yash! :five: haha although BEST seems more of a social thing.

Oh really? ah theirs is a bracket so I guess if you're predicted higher they give you a higher offer :dontknow:

I know! it's because they're rising so to speak and because they have many applicants?

you applied to UCL, LSE and Cambridge iirc? ah me too but now I just feel like I can't be bothered and I don't want to waste a year of my life! It doesn't really matter where you go I think (employment wise) although obviously contacts and stuff at uni is a leg up. Are you doing the placement year?

hahaha. Yeah it looks arite, semi-finalists of the Football Cup. Let's get the cup this year!

Yeah that would make sense actually in this case.

True say Exeter is a Russell Group now too so they probably think they are the shizzle now lool.

Nah I didn't want to go to London Universities at the time (not sure now) so I applied to Cambridge, Warwick, Durham, Bath and Exeter. Only offers from the latter two, what an epic fail of a UCAS application. Wbu?

Yeah I have the exact same thought process, I really just want to get going with things and if your smart and do well I don't think it makes such a massive difference especially with a placement year. Networking in places in LSE will be great but I bet a lot of students there solely apply to do that and not for the course -_-. Yes. Go to Bath and opt not to do a placement, u mad bro ? lol jk

Yeah you don't have to be studying something to join the society - so lots of non-economics students join the economics society just to go on the Bristol trips and stuff I think, apparently it's the biggest society on campus.
