Re: University of Bath accommodation thread. (2012-2013) Poll included.thank god i found this thread, i recently applied for accommodation and everything is full, only brenden court and eastwood is free, although i would have preffered single gender en -suite room but its not there so i ended up choosing eastwood, please tell me how bad is it? i have never shared toilets etc please advice how i should proceed?(Original post by ChelseyElla)
Hi all, I'm a current Bath student and lived in Marlborough last year.
The ensuite room may seem appealing but bare in mind in second year and beyond you'll have to share a bathroom with others anyway. I didn't think Marlborough (or sols) was worth the extra money and I preferred Westwood and Eastwood by far!
Feel free to ask me any questions -

Re: University of Bath accommodation thread. (2012-2013) Poll included.I'd say non en-suite is better really. En-suite rooms have a really small bathroom right next to your bed, so it can be smelly and unclean. Whereas non en-suite rooms share a few showers/bathrooms which are just down the corridor, but there are plenty and they are cleaned regularly. And it's cheaper.(Original post by sandy42900)

They're good showers and stuff. I don't really see why people want to have their own one in their room tbh. -
Re: University of Bath accommodation thread 2012-2013. Poll included (woodland added)Do you mean that you haven't applied for accommodation yet so need to find people to live with? If so then you will be off campus I'm afraid.(Original post by Benkaluza)
I need someone to share with as ive only just got on offer and I dont want to live off campus, message me if your interested. -
Re: University of Bath accommodation thread 2012-2013. Poll included (woodland added)You can always try ... apply for accommodation anyways as its probable that many students will not meet their offer so you will get the place instead of them ... I already know 2 of my frnds who did not meet their offers... So atleast try!!(Original post by Benkaluza)

My application state has changed to 'Allocated', so does this mean everything is confirmed? Previously when I last checked about 3 weeks ago I'm pretty sure it said 'Awaiting Allocation'...
I haven't heard anything from Bath regarding course or accommodation since firming my unconditional, it just seems strange that it has changed to 'allocated' so soon.
Has this happened to anyone else yet? -

Re: University of Bath accommodation thread 2012-2013. Poll included (woodland added)Is your offer conditional or unconditional?(Original post by tjboo)

Re: University of Bath accommodation thread 2012-2013. Poll included (woodland added)Yeah mine is, although I read somewhere that accommodation isn't allocated until mid - August. Never mind, I guess its nothing to worry about(Original post by tjboo)
Conditional. If yours is unconditional, that'll be why it's changed.

Re: University of Bath accommodation thread 2012-2013. Poll included (woodland added)
I'm only just getting around to applying for accommodation because Bath doesn't allow you to apply if they are your insurance choice. However, there are only John Wood and Carpenter left on the application form so I seem thoroughly stuck in the city. Carpenter isn't on the guide and so I was wondering if anybody knew anything about it? Also I was wondering if anybody knew whether, if people do not get the right grades, the late people can get their accommodation on campus? I know that sounds really harsh :/

Hi there! I just checked my accommodation portal and saw that my application status is "Allocated". I checked it a couple of days ago and it was "Awaiting allocation". But I haven't received an email or contract. Does anyone know what I have to do now? I'm worried that maybe I should have received an email or something?
