I'm struggling to work out why City haven't bought any players yet? Surely it isn't a lack of money?

And why haven't they been able to offload the likes of Adebayor and Santa Cruz?

Or it could be the financial fair play rules..hmm.

Mancini has been crying to the papers today about how unfair it is that Marwood won't let him sign anyone. Christ knows whats going on behind the scenes there.

I reckon they'll end up spending like £100m on deadline day

I think they are just paying the price for signing mediocre players on mega contracts, they aren't going to be able to move them on without compensating them for their remaning wages. Wouldn't be too surprised if they spend very little this summer.

Juve not looking a good option for any players now with coach and assistant coach banned. City not looking like signing anyone with Mancini wingeing in the press. Looking at team who could pay RVP's wages, Real and Barca looking set on that front, Inter not in CL, Milan could be an option but have shown no interest, PSG look pretty set with Zlatan, Lavetzzi, Moura, and Pastore. Chelsea have already set their front line. Bayern have Gomez as the main man and their formation doesn't accommodate two strikers. There aren't really any other options that look like meeting RVP's wage demands or the transfer fee.

I guess its a case of whether Arsenal budge or not. Its kind of dumb if they turn down £15m+ considering what they spend on personnel and he then signs for free in Jan. Unless they feel they need him to secure CL football or can change his mind, they just throwing away money.

Michael Carrick, Tom Cleverley and Ashley Young named in the England squad to face Italy. Wayne Rooney omitted

Juve coach banned for 10 months for match fixing, cannot see RvP wanting to go there, doesn't seem like City want him anymore. Its to us or another season at Arsenal.

of course we can only sign players when other clubs aren't interested....... so we start hoping other club's can't sign our targets for Reason X and A, a bit sad isn't it... I thought we were CL finalists twice in the last four years..

but excluding that comment, I said RVP would sign for us ages ago and I've kept reiterating that he wants to play for us, either he signs this month or next year on a free.

Not really the case, it just Real and Barca are head and shoulders above the competition at the moment, Spanish football is in a golden age, and can offer the Spanish lifestyle. As for PSG and Man City, no we can't compete, not one can, that's why they are ruining football. Their finances and fees a limited only by their owners which means they could spend £200m on a player and pay them £300k p/w, and whether its a good deal or not is irrelevant. There are only 2 clubs in the world we can't compete with atm, Barca and Real, the others its purely down to their owners. Nothing you can do about that, we can't lose £800m because no one is going to pay it for us. The reality of most clubs in the world.

As for mentioning the other clubs, that mainly because Arsenal would prefer to ship anywhere but us. They would take a reduced fee to ship him out to Italy. Ideally we would prefer them to have no options, because they will take them if they can. We can tempt RVP all we want but if Arsenal refuse to accept our offer on principle, not much we can do.

Pretty sure Chelsea and Arsenal wanted Powell. Kagawa killed all other interested by stating he wanted to come to United.

Kagawa's agent made it clear to everyone that we were the only club he wanted to join, why bid for a player who wont join you? Powell was also wanted by pretty much every big club in England. Are you sure you're even a United fan? You sure as **** dont sound like one.

Yes because I'm doubting our failing yet again to land players we want that we have competition for I'm clearly not a united fan (I'm actually a city fan.. I mean that's why I care, right?), A TRUE united fan like U, would never doubt anything. Everything that happens is in united;s best interest, for example if lucas moura didn't sign he was greedy and looking for money and overrated anyway, so was benzema, so was ozil, so was silva, so was hazard, so was ballack, so was essien, so was Van der Vaart (LOL!!) oh please forgive me TRUE united fan, anyone who doesn't sign for united.... we didn't need anyway... noo value for money!

Nothing like other clubs paying a good £10m more overall to suggest it is so simple as we can't compete, nothing to do with them overpaying.

Just because we didnt spend over £40m on a 19 year old from Brazil doesn't mean we are forced to sign other clubs rejects. And yes, him going to a rubbish league shows a lack of ambition.

Who the **** cares if it was 200 BILLION USD DOLLAS and we offered 150 Billion USD dollas. the amount has nothing to ****ing do with it.

I notice you didn't want to talk about other players on that list, where is Wesley Sneijder, one of the best CAM's in the world who openly said he would be interested in joining us and we are bitching about his wages? but we are happy to pay Wazza who held our club hostage until we did ! And before any of you say we shouldn't have signed Sneijder at that time EVERYONE ****ING BODY was begging for quality in the midfield and everybody wanted him to join, the moment it turns out we are not signing once again... "We didn't need him, he was too old, to high wages" the same **** with RVP, I've been claiming we must sign RVP for ages it's only until we don't get Moura everyone jumps on the same boat as me.

were not living in 1999 anymore times are changing and we need to change as well we are not BROKE, the fact that we got beaten by Barcelona in CL final TWICE would have made you think we would go on a overhaul to improve our squad, we are light years behind barca & madrid and if any of you mother****ers try and point out that 0-0 draw in USA.....
