    Philosophy: Aristotle/Berkeley Help
    Hey guys,

this year I did philosophy 1A which involves the morality section - I passed that last year thankfully - and the Greats section, which is were I am right now.

This sememster we've covered Socrates/Plato, Aristotle, Descartes and Berkeley. I found both Plato and Descartes relatively understandable and relateable, and we are just finishing Berkeley this week. However, I am stumped about Aristotle and Berkeley seems a bit vague as well.

Could someone please give me some good topics/areas/things to revise on both of these philosophers? Part of the exam requires I know their most reknowned works in quoted form, I just have say what the quote involves. Thus I can't escape the dreaded Aristotle!

There's no need to dread Aristotle . Google 'Nicomachean Ethics' - that's probably your best focus.

Well it was probably because the lecturer we had was pretty lousy but I just didn't like/understand much of what Aristotle was saying. I'm just annoyed I actually have to cover him in the exam, since last sememster we could pick and choose topics from the questions list but this one we have to know at least something about all 4 of the philosophers.

Oh and cheers for the info

Ah, that's a shame that your lecturer has spoilt Aristotle for you. I know that feeling when you start to dislike a subject because of a teacher/lecturer - not much you can do about it. This guy is pretty cool - he has tons of his lectures on Youtube - maybe this can help you start to like Aristotle:
