    Attractiveness?
I've been told i'm attractive without even asking. I've had several girls fancy me in the past year. But when I look in the mirror or take photos of myself, all I see is ugliness. I don't think it's about self-esteem because how could I have low self-esteem if I know people fancy me? So then why when I look in the mirror do I just see ugliness? And does anyone else feel like this?

yep i get the exact same. But then i was bullied at school since i was about 7 until i was 18 for being ''ugly''. It wasnt until i actually got 'hit on' by guys and stuff that i started to realise it was people just being nasty.

I still hold the view i am ugly.

many people feel like this, atractiveness is something that varies from person to person, some people like thin, some like fat, some like brunette, some like blonde and etc
What is ugly to you is beautiful for many other people

Yeah, people do feel like this- What is it about yourself that makes you feel ugly? A feature or just your whole appearance?
Maybe you should go to a Dr see what they think, that way you'll know if you have say, BDD, or nothing. I hope you feel better x

    I kinda get this too.

Sometimes in the mirror and i think, eh, not too bad, then i see/take photos and feel hideous, never been "hit on", the only person that calls me attractive is my grandma, which is not very reassuring

Oh, please. Shut up. It's the same ****.

OP, we're gonna need to see some pics, otherwise this thread is useless.

Are you a fool? Male attractiveness has much more to it than physicality. Never seen a frog ugly guy go out with a beautiful girl?

Or perhaps your substandard cognivite abilities failed to understand that when I said 'attractiveness does not equal beauty', I did not imply that beauty is not attractive.

    Re: Attractiveness?
I always thought I was hideous, both physically and in terms of my personality, but I realised that no-one has ever told me that I'm unattractive or unpleasant to be with. My self image is low, but my real image doesn't seem to be in any way problematic or limiting so I stopped worrying about it.
