Re: MHoC NewspaperSounding good Birchington - would you like my assistance with anything?(Original post by Birchington)
Thanks for the support guys! I have created an email address, where you can send content: tsrhocnews@gmail.com.
I've also created a Dropbox account where you can access and store your contributions. I hope this will make contributing as easy as possible. To find this, just go to Dropbox.com and log on with email: tsrhocnews@gmail.com, and password: politics2012.
I'm hoping to design it in a style similar to the 'i' newspaper - a mix of fact and fun without being too dull or long-winded.
It can be distributed as a PDF once a month initially and hopefully more frequently if we have enough content. -
Re: MHoC NewspaperI think that we should have a humour section.(Original post by Rakas21)
Not sure we need a humour section. Given that we are all political it should probably be semi-serious as we don't really need to appeal to the layman (fan of humour but don't think this requires it).
Your decisions though. -
Re: MHoC Newspaper
I think for the first issue we should be fairly introductory, with profiles of the parties etc.. so the average reader knows that TSR UKIP is different from RL UKIP, RL Tories more economically right wing than RL etc. This is presuming we're targeting people who don't know about the MHoC
Bar that, guys, keep up the good work and good luck to Birchington as Editor

Re: MHoC NewspaperHow about doing a fact file on each of the new MPs?(Original post by Birchington)

Re: MHoC Newspaperi think this a good idea, we could have like a section where each of the parties apparent policies and stance on a certain issue is compared. Sort of like DQT but more specific than just the dept in general, such as creating jobs, renewable energy, rail fees etc(Original post by Mr Dangermouse)

Re: MHoC Newspaperye, that'd be a good idea(Original post by TopHat)
I'd love to see if we could get the newspaper stickied in the News and Current Affairs section, where people might actually see it. -
Re: MHoC NewspaperHow about all MPs as tbh, we know oh so very little.(Original post by Mr Dangermouse)

Re: MHoC NewspaperThanks for all you're ideas guys.
In terms of managing this, Birchington is the Editor of the MHoC Newspaper and I'm now Deputy Editor mainly taking on the role of managing the content for the publication. Birchington will focus on the designing of the newspaper.
What we now need from you is content submissions and ideas for the name of the newspaper.
I also intend to PM Party leaders asking them for content.
Can we also get a volunteer to go first for an interview? I'm not sure how we're going to structure it yet.
