And that's before you lump up for an £8000 system capable of driving them :ahee:

It dawned on my as soon as I saw "Sennheiser" in the URL that I'd forgotten about the Orpheus. It's like the sacred pilgrimage all audiophiles hope to make one day.

Although I will be trying the Stax SR009 in September at a headphone meet (It's almost like a convention, I've reached that level of nerdiness) which some people claim is almost as good as the Orpheus with the right kit behind it, so that should be awesome.

Ebay doesn't count, that's an auction site where prices are inflated due to demand or whatever.

Not for me, there is a crisp that reached over 10k on there.

I wanna see 20k headphones at retail.

The Orpheus system actually had an RRP of $15,000 when it launched about ten years ago. It was that damn good.

Bloody hell 1,000 for a pair of headphones, they must be top of the range then.

    Hi people,

I am just interested to know your feelings and thoughts about Dr Dre beats headphones - Specifically the solo and studio versions.

Whether you own a pair or have tried a pair on then let me know what you think:

    Do you like them?

Do you like the style of them?

Do you appreciate the celebrity endorsements?

Why choose these headphones rather than other headphones?

Thank you, all your comments will be appreciated
