For anybody who wants a laugh, read up on this Exodus International that she's talking about. Turns out two of the supposed ex-gay founders have divorced their wives and "married" each other (As closely as laws would allow them to), and a thrice-elected chairman was ejected from the company after being found trying to attract men in a gay bar. On a more serious side, numerous members of the upper organisation of EI have issued public apologies and spoken out against its practices, and follow up studies indicate extremely low success rates. In short, the whole thing's a laughing stock.

There is nothing in Christianity that says priests have to be celibate. It's idiotic Catholics who have introduced that. I am a Christian as well and I am not intending to stay celibate. What Catholics are doing (mass corruption, immorality, greed) is giving a bad name to Christianity as a whole.

Catholicism in general should be gotten rid of, the poor handling of the paedophilia incidences (shipping the priests abroad, refusing to co-operate with police) never mind the fact that the Pope is one of the wealthiest men in the world. It is complete corruption, hypocrisy and intimidation.

In my local church, they refused to bury a Chinese woman in the church graveyard because she had never been baptised, even though she went to mass etc.

Just to ask - do you believe that "getting help" to convert your sexual orientation to what is more socially acceptable works? I highly doubt any amount of therapy would be able to change me in the other direction.
