[Poll] Which History Master's to choose?
    Hi,

Seeing as this isn't working in the postgrad forum...

I'm hoping to get some views from this forum as am very stuck choosing between some universities for my Master's right now.

My interest lies in the Second World War period, Britain especially, but also Europe. I would say that I lean more towards social history than military although the two obviously overlap a great deal.

I'm hoping that some current students/people who know about this area will be able to give me better advice than what the History League Tables/university websites say.

So...please vote away and share your opinions/experiences of these departments.

    Thank you in advance.

am looking at a similar thing/courses and would say edinburgh or kcl if i had a choice of two of those (i might be biased as those are ones i have gotten into as well). depends on where you want to live really as both are good!!!

Thanks for your input. What course are you looking at?

I have to admit that I am currently leaning towards those two more than the others. But it's difficult because they all have good and bad points.

I don't want to rely too much on league tables but they were all brilliant when I went to visit them so maybe that will be the 'edge' in the end to help make my decision.

Where is your first degree from and what class have you got/are you expecting to get?
This may be a determining factor in where you would be most successful and happy.
Edit: I wouldn't suggest Leeds - their taught Masters specialises in Medieval. This I know because I have a place on it.
