You don't get told your report has been updated if you made it on an app...not sure if this is an app problem or tsr problem...and it's not really a problem, just not ideal!

This problem (reported elsewhere). The first part is resolved, but the second remains (ie the "watched threads" summary screen not pointing to the last post of the thread).

another thing I have just noticed is that the post count # is different in the app and on the web version of TSR.

    Has anyone reported this yet?

That's not something that I've seen being flagged. Can you link to a specific thread where you've noticed this?

Probably not a massive problem; just that it can lead to some confusion

I refer to it here. Dave was directing me to a post and I was looking for it on my iPhone. I "corrected" him only to then discover (when I got back to my laptop) that he was right (and so was I)

I'm guessing that this may relate to deleted posts, which (depending upon your permissions for the forum) can show up on the app with strike-throughs and, if so, I think are also counted within the number of posts displaying on the thread for the purposes of the app. On the 'full' version of the site, deleted posts just show the deletion marker and don't contribute to the thread's post count.

ah. Ok. Didn't think of that.

Just thought I'd mention it. (one never knows what's connected to what and whether something might cause "downstream" problems if they're not fixed )

It's certainly not an obvious thing! No harm in having mentioned it, as I can see that it could be confusing.

Another thing. When I try to access PS Help from the app's forum menu, it just opens Safari.

Does PS Help not work on the app?

    Bump

Is anyone still interested in this thread? Or has the website re-design sucked in all energy and resource?

Coz this problem of not going to the latest post of a thread is REALLY annoying!

The app is essentially just a badly reskinned Tapatalk. The project never really received much energy or resources in the first place, you shouldn't be surprised.

That's a pity. I am on the move a lot and it could be really useful (I'm using it now for instance). But I notice it doesn't support PS Help either for some reason?

I think they never got permissions working correctly.

Can you access the back room from the app? If not then assume that all 'limited' forums are inaccessible.

It is possible the app can't handle forums which the normal user group only sees their own posts. It wonder if mods can use Ask a Moderator on the app?
