    That link seems hopelessly out of proportion. Since when is the average graduate salary 29k? Media average over 30k? Think not.
    I don't know, they're the Telegraph's stats not mine. Though I think the 29k is for the average graduate level job, not the median salary of all those graduates in work. I have no idea about media but I'd guess if there's an area journalists will know about it's that.

    HEY! I am an accountant!! Don't knock what you haven't tried.

    Accountancy can be a very well paid job, but I think it takes a certain type of person to do well in this field. Organised, good head for figures and willing to put a lot of hours in over and above 9-5. For example when its tax return deadlines. In January I have worked 6:00AM to 9:00PM for 3 weeks straight just to get everything done.

    I'm an Accountant too! woo! My colleagues in personal tax had to work every day in January (inc Sat & Sun), some days untill 1 AM. But they got it all back (plus more) as TOIL and they got taken to a seriously fancy restaurant.

    I enjoy it, if your at one of the Big 4 you will be working with some huge clients.

    I cant really summarise my daily work. I work in tax, most of my day is spent;

    on the phone to clients/ emailing clients/ meetings/ reading legislation/ reading articles/ doing computations and returns/ drinking coffee/ on TSR
