    Do I count as mature?
I recently moved to the UK (one year ago) and broke off my nearly finished A-levels in Germany to be with my partner who lives in the UK. This past September (as planned) I started my A-levels up again and am due to finish in 2013. I will be just short of 21 when I finish. Does this make me a late starter? Mature?

What will happen if I want to retake a module? I'm a bit worried that I'll be finihing a lot later than my peers even though I've now at leats already had valid work experience with a technically university graduate, starter salary.

I think if you are over 21 when you start uni you will be a mature student. But you certainly won't be 'finishing a lot later' than your peers, lots and lots of us on here are in our late 20s and 30s. In my opinion the benefit of life experience strongly outweighs any advantage to being a few years younger.

I think mature is 21 or over. So if you don't turn 21 till sept or later you won't tech. be mature, though you will be 1 or 2 years older than the average student. Though you might prefer being a 'mature' student with the benefits that come with, if you've got a serious partner and a fair bit of work experience. Some of the 18 year olds might seem quite young to you.
