    Hi all,

I'm not really a PC gamer and never have been, having always preferred consoles. However I do want to play Star Wars The Old Republic and I'm considering getting Skyrim for PC so I can play about with the mods.

Being a bit of a noob when it comes to this sort of thing, do you think I'll be able to run these games on the following specs?

This is a brand new laptop by the way, I know I wouldn't have managed it on my old one hence why I'm asking now.

Intel Core i5 2430M 2.4GHz (with Turbo boost up to 3.0GHz)
NVIDIA GeForce GT 520M, Up to 3765MB TurboCache
15.6" HD LED LCD (probably irrelevant?)
    6gb DDR3 Memory
    1TB HDD

    Any input would be welcome.

You might be able to play the games on mid-low settings, but it's an entry level card not much better than Intel's integrated HD 3000 series. The GPU is a bottleneck tbh, the rest of your setup would run it fine.

No problem with those specs, but don't expect high options for Skyrim. Although your gpu is poor, those games are low demanding which should help.
