I've had GTA1 and GTA: London on the PC since i can remember as I have older brothers. So probably when I was like 7 or something. All i used to do was just drive around

I played Vice City just after its release at my grandma's, with my cousin. We always used to pause it when she walked in.

It was 2003, I think. It was definitely GTAIII, which the only friend in my entire group with a games console had a copy of and we never could work out why, when she wasn't even allowed The Sims because they could reproduce. I don't even think she knew how she came by it, it was included in a box of about twenty games she bought.

Whenever she heard her parents outside the room, the TV screen had to be turned off immediately lest they walk in.

When playing at home (as opposed to uni) I still pause my game, and I'm 19 Not that I'd be told it's unsuitable for me, more likely "do you have to play that game while I'm here?" most likely followed by a rant about how violent gaming is bad and is the cause of every single crime ever committed

I was playing San Andreas yesterday and my mum walked in and said 'nice graphics!' - have you seen what CJ's hands look like, even on the highest settings? The nice tree outlines?

My dad always manages to time his walk-ins when I can't pause it (usually a nice, tricky shootout) and then he'll moan about how gory and disgusting it is
