    Portsmouth or Huddersfield
Hello to everyone.I am a Bulgarian and I want to study in the UK.I have been offered a place on Architecture BA in Huddersfield and Portsmouth universities.I have decided to choose the University of Portsmouth but then I started receiving e-mails from Huddersfield(something like why I should choose Huddersfield because it is in top 5 for architectural programmes etc) and now I really don't know which of them to choose.
Please help me and tell me all you know about the courses in the two universities....

I'm a final year BA Architecture student at Huddersfield. The course is a bit of a melting pot, with plenty of people from different countries. One of my best friends is Bulgarian, who I met in first year.

Our school (Art, Design and Architecture) is among the top 5 in the country. Do you have any specific questions?

I can't tell you about the course but I am currently studying at Huddersfield and really enjoy it. The staff are really friendly and enthusiastic about what they teach and will do everything they can to help/point you in the right direction, if you're having any problems.

The thing that I personally like about the uni (although I don't know Portsmouth so can't compare) is that it's all on one campus rather than dotted about the town. For me, this makes studying much easier as everything is within a few mins walk of eachother.

Never been to Portsmouth - don't think it is the most exciting, vibrant city. But seriously Huddersfield is depressing - the only positive is it is close to Leeds. But Huddersfield itself is pretty grim.

Huddersfield being one of the top 5 architectural programmes in the UK!!!! I needed a laugh as my deadline looms...

To OP - Huddersfield seriously is nowhere near top 5 in the UK, probably not in the top 35. Go to Portsmouth - it has a massively higher reputation as a school or architecture, I promise you.
