Re: Your at Uni, and you had £33,000 saved up .. what would you do?
- Pay for expensive summer courses in the field of your choice
- Pay for mind-broadening travel
- Invest in an exciting start-up idea on campus
- Leverage your position and engage in a venture at the local/university interface
- Keep back about half of it for a deposit on a house
- Take a class on presenting yourself more professionally
For God's sake don't use it to buy a fancy car or pay off your student loan earlyLast edited by Arekkusu; 17-05-2012 at 17:33. -
Re: Your at Uni, and you had £33,000 saved up .. what would you do?I would have agreed with you a few scant months ago but it is nice to travel, it does broaden the horizons. To some extent you can't be a bean counter all your life, particularly not when you're relatively young.(Original post by Infallible)
Oh my goodness me. Could you be any more of a liberal? What makes you think that they wanted to learn English? Or did you just want to boost your ego? Хуй.
It forms a more solid character base for later in life and if it's only a tiny fraction of his savings who cares.
Deciding what to do with this money is essentially down to personal characteristics though as I just posted I would very much suggest he use some of it to invest in his entrepreneurial development. -

Don't blow it all on a car or something stupid. Make it last, but live like a king for a while whilst you're young. If you ever want to go on holiday somewhere or do something, at least you'll have the cash to do it. Don't blow it all on some meaningless object or over-priced garbage.

If you shorted on JPMorgan right now you would have to be retarded. Buy low sell high, not the other way round!
Intelligent traders make money when stocks decline and increase. Shorting while its still high before it tanks is wt i mean then buying when their market position is normalised which would be after a joint resolution plan with the directors/treasury.
plus with FBI investigating, its gonna tank further so i wouldnt buy until its normalised its positionLast edited by Killuminati1989; 18-05-2012 at 03:03. -

Hey!
I am an 'older' student (23) and have worked a few years, so I have managed to save up a bit of money.
I currently have around £33,000 saved up.
At the moment these are in a number of different saving accounts but I just feel I have all that money in my account but I'm not really 'enjoying life'. I am in a sucky situation with my friendship group at the moment and having girl trouble (haaa).
So I'm just wondering, if you were a student and had £33,000 in savings .. what would you do? ..... -
