I beg to differ. It's painful watching American audiences watching some of our comedians. Here they get immediate responses, in America it takes them a while to get it.

Unique to England, no. But it's true that sarcasm and dry humour - which is a staple of many British comedy series and films - does go over American audiences' heads a lot of the time. Watch any English comedian do a comedy programme over in America - the audience barely react. It's really odd, but that's not to say that every American doesn't get it. Just that American comedy is seen as more slapstick than English, and that it takes a while to get used to our own comedy.

This made me smile. Do you really think sarcasm and wry insults are unique only to England? That it's some elusive form of humor that you'd have to explain to an American?

Across the entire country on average a quarter of school children are from an ethnic minority.

And the 5% statistic is from 11 years ago. The number of people from ethnic minorities has only increased since then.

I'm not exaggerating anything. 1 in 4 people my age aren't white British. But of course that's not believable for you even if it is a government backed statistic.

Because apparently we don't blend with other cultures.

Erm, take a closer look at those figures and then think about how statistics work.
The 2011 figures are still an average across the nation, so those school which are majority ethnic down South counter act those which are mainly white up North.

North East and South West are the lowest ethnic proportion. Meaning South East, North West and Midlands are higher.

And I never said that schools weren't mainly white. But mainly white and all white are totally different. For a country with a majority white population we have younger generations coming in at nearly a quarter from an ethnic background. This idea that we're all racist xenophobes is laughable. Look at any government backed statistics on the demographics of people by their background and you'll see there are still a lot of non whites up north.

So instead of trying to poke feeble holes into statistics and demographics that you either haven't looked at or don't understand, why not leave your house and go and meet somebody who isn't white and is still British.

I'd bet anything if you walked 15 minutes in any direction (assuming you don't live in the arse end of nowhere) you'll pass somebody who isn't white.

I have no idea what paper you are reading pal. It's not from Britain. I have never once seen an article that is blatantly racist or is in favour of xenophobia or racism. Not one. There has never been an article like that published in any paper from the well informed Times or Guardian to the celeb and page 3 peddling papers like The Sun.

And yeah the vast majority of people want to stop racism. Because racism isn't founded on a rational argument using evidence to support it's claims of other races being lesser. It's just unfounded hatred.

Racism is only ever drilled into two people.

1) People who's parents were inherently racist who have passed on this hate to their kids.

2) People who are too ****ing stupid or ignorant to look past the colour of a persons skin to see their qualities.

While you may have given the world the best two comedians of the past 3 decades (Bill Hicks & George Carlin), you sure as hell didn't appreciate them, Hicks was far better welcomed by the British. Other than that your contribution to the world stage has been, on the whole, negative - a mainly right-wing government, a horrific foreign policy, one of the countries that started off the whole nuclear weapons ****, rampant capitalism, an atrocious capital punishment system, the CIA - Your country is nowhere near perfect.
