Its probably because there is only one star trek movie every 3 years and no tv episodes isn't?-while for me,I still have lots to watch having only been a fan since watching the last movie.

Obviously too many important shows to reduce to just five so I tried to pick a varied list and shows like Blackadder and Friends have been missed out despite their impact. Also had to miss out arguably some of the better modern shows Arrested Development/ Community/ Parks and Rec/ The Daily Show because their impact will be much more evident in the future.
