Re: OCR Biology F212 (Molecules, Biodiversity, Food and Health)- 21st May 2012Looks right enough, I put down DNA base sequence and protein synthesis(Original post by AS01)
I said about dna and cytochrome c is this right? -
Re: OCR Biology F212 (Molecules, Biodiversity, Food and Health)- 21st May 2012I wrote the same thing. I think I love you <3(Original post by otrivine)
yes then i said dna sequence and embryology for molecular evidence -
Re: OCR Biology F212 (Molecules, Biodiversity, Food and Health)- 21st May 2012I'm not saying I couldn't do them; I'm sure I had a fair crack at them but I just think it's unfair that the first question should have so much uncertainty about it- surely the first questions should be recall, and then getting progressively harder? We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one methinks -.-(Original post by CJRO)
The first two marks were straightforward look at diagram and write the labels. The rest were all fair as Your teacher will have taught you the theory, all you are required to do is apply the theory. It is not guesswork. It brings together several ideas on biodiversity and enzymes which makes it challenging but it is all in the syllabus. You just have to ignore the urge to start writing immediately and process the information. I did not find it easy, but it was fair. -
Re: OCR Biology F212 (Molecules, Biodiversity, Food and Health)- 21st May 2012Me too(Original post by Iloveeverything)
I put artificial insemination. -
Re: OCR Biology F212 (Molecules, Biodiversity, Food and Health)- 21st May 2012I said DNA and Cytochrome C(Original post by AS01)
I think this was the only question where there was mention of student when the E.coli cannot break down agarose.
think I messed that up coz for that I wrote about speciation coz its the one which determines about difference in species. -
Re: OCR Biology F212 (Molecules, Biodiversity, Food and Health)- 21st May 2012oh ok. protein synthesis might be right too m not sure about this(Original post by Amz1217)
Looks right enough, I put down DNA base sequence and protein synthesis -
Re: OCR Biology F212 (Molecules, Biodiversity, Food and Health)- 21st May 2012Ahaha! I hope we're right(Original post by Becca94)
i said that too haha, it was a guess xD
Is it possible to genetically modify sheep? O.o -
Re: OCR Biology F212 (Molecules, Biodiversity, Food and Health)- 21st May 2012Yeah, that's what I meant(Original post by Theafricanlegend)
wrong, lactate and water
That's L right? Is it the right answer though?
-
Re: OCR Biology F212 (Molecules, Biodiversity, Food and Health)- 21st May 2012put embryology and looking at anatomical, physical biochemical features but pretty sure this is not after a long time...!(Original post by AS01)
ya
what did you keep about how after a long time you can know whether its same species or different one? -
Re: OCR Biology F212 (Molecules, Biodiversity, Food and Health)- 21st May 2012No idea, but I put these two too!(Original post by AS01)
I said about dna and cytochrome c is this right? -
Re: OCR Biology F212 (Molecules, Biodiversity, Food and Health)- 21st May 2012this was about other two evidence(Original post by MrMeep2580)
I said DNA and Cytochrome C
i am talking about how over time you can be sure they are same species or not? -
Re: OCR Biology F212 (Molecules, Biodiversity, Food and Health)- 21st May 2012Waste of your time, no they will not. If you read the past examiners reports you would have realised examiners are pleased when there is a difficult paper as it really shows who are the best students and who are the coasters. Do not waste your time writing to the exam boards as they are not meant to be your friends, they try to give you a paper which truly lets those with intelligence excell.(Original post by Yukii)
EVERYBODY DO THIS!!!! If they receive a lot of complaints about this paper, it might make them lower the grade boundaries more!!!!!
*goes off to write a complaint* -
Re: OCR Biology F212 (Molecules, Biodiversity, Food and Health)- 21st May 2012I put artificial insemination too.....(Original post by funkscam)
can someone put my mind at rest lmfao
for the way methods changed when breeding cattle since the eighteenth century or some ****,
i put antibiotics, crossed it out and put artificial insemination
AKLSAESOHJ is this even slightly correct
p.s so ****ed -
Re: OCR Biology F212 (Molecules, Biodiversity, Food and Health)- 21st May 2012I wrote these two, but just as "DNA" and "Cytochrome C"... eek(Original post by Iepnauy)
Lol, I put "sequence of DNA" and "sequence of cytochrome c"
Couldn't think of anything else. Worth a shot =/
-
Re: OCR Biology F212 (Molecules, Biodiversity, Food and Health)- 21st May 2012That is exactly what i wrote.(Original post by Student-Andrew)
The question about how 18th century farmers how they could create better sheep, did you have to talk about; artificial selection? like isolation, selective breeding and then line breeding?
That gives the game away
