    University Application help..
i am currently giving my As.. i have given As Maths in January and i will be giving business studies in may.. i was suppose to give ICT as well in may but due to some problems in my school.. i wasn't able to.. i will be giving my A2 maths along with As ICT in 2013 January.. and i will be giving A2 ICT and Business studies in 2013 May. and i also might give 6 units of further maths in may 2013.

i will have to apply for my universities through UCAS ofcourse. My problem is.. i need to know if i can apply with 2 subjects and give them a letter or something telling/explaining them my situation and letting them know that i will be giving another subject in january? is that possible?? please help!

Note: I will be applying in universities with uk ranking under 40.

Yes, since you're not actually applying for several months this really counts as an emergency

You put all qualifications on your UCAS form, which includes pending ones that you haven't taken yet. So your future plans for 2013 will be there for unis to see.

If you have extenuating circumstances - which it sounds like you might do - then your referee can notify the unis of these if you wish. They can do this by explaining in your reference, or if it's a particularly long explanation they can email the unis with details.

Don't panic yet. Everyone thinks their exams were awful. Wait until you get your results and they might be better than you think - but if not, you still have options.

you will still have to declare your grades, you can withhold information from UCAS, so even if it is below a C youll have to declare.

You will apply to unis with several results pending, this is common. Most people have all three A levels as pending when they apply.

Don't be so rude - people are offering their help and advice to you for free - DEMANDING that they do it quicker and better is extremely rude.

when you say several results pending.. do you mean As results pending too? Because just as i thought my Business studies results came out really bad.. So i will have to repeat in January.. Is it possible to apply with 2 out of 3 As results as pending?

If you are resitting your AS results you will put your original grade in, then put the same qualification in again but with a 'pending' result. This will show the unis you intend to resit.
Just to counter the inevitable 'do i have to tell them my original grade' question, yes you will if your college has 'cashed in' your AS results, which the vast majority do.

i didn't cash in yet. I am going to do it next week. So should i get it done and show my original results plus that i am resitting or should i just leave it as pending and not cash in and show my original results?

I'm not sure what the difference is between the two things you just suggested... either way you'll be showing the unis your original results. If you don't show them that you are resitting when you are, you only screw yourself over.
