In need of a good toner
Could you recommend me some toners, ones that you have tried and tested and didn't break you out? I have combination skin dry everywhere except t-zone

    Simple Soothing Toner

I have combination skin that is a little more dry than it is oily and it works perfectly. Non-drying and non-greasy.

    Oh, also:

    http://www.makeupalley.com/product/s.../Simple/Toners

Best website for comparing beauty products and reading reviews.
I'd actually advise anyone to visit it before posting on tsr for advice on whether a product is good or not, because they have soo many reviews from people with different skin types so you're sure to know if something is worth purchasing or not.

I've used no 7 balancing one but they don't make it anymore I don't think. Simple is okay, but no 7 is better

Burts Bees toner was gentle and good to my skin.
However I have oily/acne prone skin so I need something stronger, so it's not going to be suitable for you, but I really like Clinique's anti-blemish toner.
They might have something similar for dry skin though?

Clinique and I have a love/hate relationship. It breaks me out, except for the makeup

I second the Simple toner, it's really good stuff - not too expensive and won't make you break out.

I use Body Shop tea tree toner in the morning before make-up because it keeps my face shine-free.

In the evening I use a cheap Tesco cucumber one

The simple one is very good - I have skin which seems to dislike a lot of toners and it works great. Also, if you're in the right part of the country to have the beauty of a local home bargains near you, check in there (actually check there before you buy any beauty product, but they often have simple) to maybe pick it up for cheaper!
