Re: 2012 freshers looking for private accommodation?First of all congratulations!(Original post by Laura373)
I have an unconditional for Early Years teaching starting this September, but I live within the 30 mile radius (27.7 miles!!) so will be looking for private accommodation.
Anyone else in the same boat or anticipate that they will be come results day?
You're definitely not the only person who's going to end up in this position, but let me reassure you, you will without a doubt be able to find somewhere to stay. There are places around now that are still looking to be filled over the summer. Have a nose at one of the floating threads, there's information on landlords in the area

Re: 2012 freshers looking for private accommodation?
Hi! I was in the same boat, it's such a silly policy but hey-ho! I looked up private accommodation and found Fresh Student Living (Abbeygate) which is 5 mins from the Uni and is amazing! The rooms are gorgeous and you get the choice of your own room (with ensuite and kitchen facilities) or to share a kitchen and lounge with 5 other people. Google Fresh Student Living xoxo

Re: 2012 freshers looking for private accommodation?Abbeygate are good quality but they are expensive. I would personally advise against it and suggest looking for shared accommodation. You'll almost definitely find yourself moving in somewhere cheaper the year after.(Original post by fabulouslybritishb)

Hi I am in the same boat.. well I think i live just over 30 miles away, but want private accommodation anyway, I wasnt impressed with the halls ha.. Have you looked at the list on Chesters website?
Most of the places seem pretty decent.. I want to be with other 1st years though rather than just filling up the spare room in a house with a group of friends.. don't know how to end up with other 1st years though..or when to sort it! ha it just hurts my head thinking about it -

Re: 2012 freshers looking for private accommodation?
Please can people not give out personal details such as email addresses and phone numbers. I appreciate that people are trying to be helpful and fill their houses up, but its a matter of personal privacy and safety as these are public forums. If you do have rooms etc on offer, please sort it out using the personal message system. Thank you.

Re: 2012 freshers looking for private accommodation?Sorry just to add--- You will be sharing with two other students of the university in their second year. The bedroom is obviously yours, but obviously the house is shared.(Original post by royal1990)
