Re: Manchester United vs Queens Park RangersNo, only for a dangerous tackle as it's not relying on being in play. As it was offside, he's not the last man (not that he was in this case anyway).(Original post by Tommyjw)
Dont think it should have been a red.
Not sure if the fact it would (should) have been offside matters in calls like that. For example even if it was a definite red, because its offside, do they still get a red? Either way, very harsh. -
Re: Manchester United vs Queens Park RangersTrue i guess.(Original post by little_wizard123)
No, only for a dangerous tackle as it's not relying on being in play. As it was offside, he's not the last man (not that he was in this case anyway).
Looked suspicious when i first saw it from 'behind' the incident, pretty clear from the replay angles though there was nothing real in it, nothing warranting that fall anyway.
Young seems to be the only guy in the squad who regularly (as regularly as you can) do stuff like that, its a shame. -
Re: Manchester United vs Queens Park RangersYou can hardly call one decision 'three wrong decisions' given they all follow eachother and are dependant on eachother lol(Original post by KingMessi)
Offside wrong, the penalty wrong, and the red card wrong. Three incorrect decisions, all of which have now cost QPR any hope of a result. They were going to lose, in all likelihood, anyway, but the entire game's been taken away from them now. -
Re: Manchester United vs Queens Park RangersEr...yes, they are three wrong decisions. One decision is whether to give offside or not; that's a decision got wrong. Once the officials have allowed the game to continue, you have the 'challenge', which gives the official the decision of whether or not to award a penalty; also wrong. Once the penalty has been given, the referee has the decision on whether to take any further action; hence, another wrong decision. Regardless, it's pretty inconsequential whether you see it as one or three; either way, it's still a goal that shouldn't have been allowed to happen.(Original post by Tommyjw)

Re: Manchester United vs Queens Park RangersNot really, whether or not it was offside and whether or not it was a penalty were two separate decisions, though the red card was dependant on then penalty.(Original post by Tommyjw)

Re: Manchester United vs Queens Park RangersNot merely an unfair goal as well, since they're now a man down therefore have little to no chance of a comeback.(Original post by KingMessi)
