The Arab League inaugural council has voted to expel Egypt from its position on the council due to inactivity in general and on any votes within the council or league.

This means that there is a vacancy on the Inaugural Council (for more details see the main thread) and Tunisia and Egypt have decided to invite any Arab League full member state (observers not eligible) to submit a 200 word manifest about why their country (not you personally) should be on the council. PM your manifest to me (moleman1996) or missbannana21 before 12pm (lunch) Wednesday 11th April, during wednesday afternoon the manifestos will be put up and an election started.

In the event of no countries submitting a manifesto, submission period will be extended to a week, after which if no manifestos have been submitted Tunisia and Libya will continue as a 2 country council until the end of the council's mandate.

you mean if they get kicked off the council (already happened) or if tenbinza stops being egypt rep? I think there are a few arab league countries without reps, you could just start being rep for one of then and submit a manifesto to get on the council. It'd be a walkover as nobody has so far

Yes but you can represent two nations at once. Though I was also representing the Czech Republic, I gave thta position up - it hasn't been updated though.

unfortunately not :/ and as we're well past the league we may have to go with a two country council until the end of its mandate :s would prefer to get someone else in as well though.

If nobody takes this up the chances of running a Council election at the end of our mandate don't look great. Come on guys, if you want there to be an Arab League please submit an application. It could even only be a few lines - I know it's coming up to exam time and people are busy.
