Confused about higher education? Need some advice/opinion
I left school last year with good enough GCSES, I then started tech studying 'Psychology, Politics and Photography.'

Within the 3 months I was there, i got persuaded to come back to sixth form in my old school. To study Politics, Law & MIA in which i got an A* and won an award for. Now I'm almost finished AS Level and I really don't want to continue at school.

I want to go to trinity, but I simply cannot pass law. The way I look at it, is if I come out with two A'S and a D, I'm going to have to repeat another whole year or maybe two.

I considered leaving school once my AS exams were over and doing a
BTEC extended level 3 diploma in travel & tourism. Then I realized, trinity do not accept it nor do they accept any subjects to do with media.

I could apply to do two years of A levels but having to go to tech for another 2 years just dosent sound very nice. I just want to go to University already..

Woops.. my problem is; do the majority of University's accept btec extended diplomas?? I know Trinity, Oxford, Cambridge etc does not.. and that's fine. Ill just accept I can't go there but I'd be worried in case it comes to next year and find a lot of universities don't accept it??

I have to apply by tuesday.. so really need some help/advice?:confused:

My main goal is to get 'AAB' in either the diploma or A levels and to go too a pretty good university to study Psychology...

Okay, firstly, where has needing to apply by Tuesday come from? There isn't a UCAS deadline then and nor is there a CAO deadline then, so is this something that has been set by your school? Or is this the application deadline for the BTEC? A lot of BTECs take two years, do you realise this?

The majority of universities do accept the extended diploma, yes, although you're right that the top level universities will not consider it. However, a lot of good universities do acknowledge the diploma so you should be okay there. You may struggle to prove the relevance of a travel and tourism diploma to a psychology course, however.
