AQA English Literature Unit 1H help
I've got my Unit 1h exam on may 22nd and I'm struggling with section A which involves me comparing two short stories from the AQA anthology; Sunlight On The Grass

    - can anyone help me out?
or does anyone have any notes that I can use?

It's been a while since you posted and nobody's replied yet...maybe you should check out MarkedbyTeachers.com, TSR's sister site. It has the largest library of essays in the UK.

All their documents are submitted to Turnitin anti-plagiarism software, so it can't be misused, and the site's used by hundreds of thousands of UK teachers and students.

I'm in a similar situation here, but I do An inspector Calls and Of mice and men. My question is how much are you expected to write, bearing in mind it is only 1 hour 30 minutes long ?

Hi, I am doing this exam. You actually don't have to compare the short stories. Well if I recommend the following notes as it tells you what you have to put in each question in relation with the language, form, structure etc.

For the Of Mice and Men part, I'd say maybe 1 1/2 - 2 pages for the first question, same for the second. For the Inspector Calls part, I wrote about 4 pages in the mock exam.

Yeah it depends on each person. In exams I write really big because I'm rushing so much Feel sorry for the examiners marking my papers sometimes haha. I think it doesn't matter how much you write, as long as it is of good quality

Our teacher said that 'you dont exactly have to finish the paper as long as you give 3/4 good points ; in a peel structure '
    Would you agree ?

Yeah I suppose, peel structure ? never heard of that one. I just tend to write points that allow me to then connect them to other points so its fluent but that gets harder the more you write cos you start running out of points.

You know for section B (Of Mice and Men) how they give an extract for a certain character and how it adds to our understanding of that character, what do you reckon would be the extract for Lennie?
