a can of worms
I remember that day when mum was washing up after dinner and I, feeling too at ease from good exchange and being drunk, released a blow that struck her popliteals.
I pretended not to notice that she pretended not to mind.
In the kitchen, words spilled out that I’ve since wanted to gobble up a thousand times.
She nodded and feigned a smile as I spoke, while by her side, picked away thumb cuticles with her candid finger.Last edited by climbthewall; 09-04-2012 at 15:12. -
Re: a can of wormslol no, it's a metaphor. I told her some news (a blow) that caught her off-guard. ie. like being hit behind your knees, it makes your legs buckle.(Original post by the bear)
you thumped your Mum's knees ?
either she is incredibly tall or you are incredibly short...
I guess having to explain your writing isn't a very good sign :/ -
Re: a can of wormssorry... i was reading it too literally(Original post by climbthewall)

Don't like your use of the word candid, there are far better words available. -
