I have a problem with my married life. My married life was happy in the beginning but in the matter of sex I always was uncomfortable wth my husband because he used to take bath with in 5 -6 days and I cant bear the bad smell of his body but I lived silent about it because I dont want to defame my husband. He always lived careless about this and he was also very careless towards me. Ultimately I was absolutely unable to bear his smell and I decided to refuse sexual relationship with him.In 25 years of my married life I took sexual relations of 15 years, from 10 years I didnot have any sexual relation. before 4 years I met a nice man who is unmarried and I attrected with him and we are in love with each other. He taught me the lesson of true love but now his parants are insisting him to marry but he dont want to do. We wants to live togather. I have 2 children very mature. I cant live without him and I cant share him with any other lady. If he will marry I will committ suicide or will loss my mental balance. I am in trouble pls suggest me what should I do?

I am very confused about the rights of women in islam. i competely undersatnd that if the man is not satified with his wife then he may indulge himself in such a prohibited activities such as sex with not wife.
but i have never heard or read about the rights of women that if a woman is desired to have sex with her husband and her husband is not in mood, can he denyies sex with his wife? i believe the women have more feelings of having sex than the men, then why islam has not equalize the sexual rights?
This poster is under the strange illusion women want sex more than men. He also acknowledges if a wife doesnt want her man to cheat she must have sex with him. How lovely.
Men and Women have equal rights in being satisfied when they want sex.
In this situation what she has done is wrong, has committed adultery if she has had sex............................. ...she should have confronted her husband as Muslims are obliged to live a clean life and smell good....and do things which please their spouse. Both spouses are their to guide one another. -
Re: Why do Afghan men hate women???why do the women let them?so narrow minded.(Original post by Danen)

Re: Why do Afghan men hate women???why do the women let them?Lol. What is this based on? Your few encounters with some Afghan males?(Original post by hamzazulfiqar)
afghan males in general i would say are very aggressive and cant control themselves.
To be honest, I can understand why people think Afghan males are savages and Afghan women are poor helpless victims, because all we ever hear from Afg is negative. Of course, there is a war going on in Afghanistan, on one side we have NATO throwing drones at people's homes and destroying their lives and on the other side there is the Taliban suicide bombing markets and destroying people's lives. The majority of the country is poor as a result of war, education levels are low, both in regards to religion and secular studies -- do your really expect that in such conditions, Afghanistan will miraculously produce happy American Brady Bunch families?
I admit, in Afghan culture, there is a double standard sometimes. For example, it's considered bad for a female to date, but not a male (they are looked down upon, but not as much as females). But even this has a limit. No where in Afghan culture have I heard that we should throw acid at women, or burn them, or kill them because of trivial reasons such as arguing with the mother in law.
If you look to the time before the Taliban, before Western troops came into Afghanistan, before war and poverty, these things weren't common. Even now, it mostly happens in villages, or poor rural areas.
I really think it's down to education. -

"Re: Why do Afghan men hate women???why do the women let them?"
What's up with all this negativity ???
In Afghanistan, All the problems specially violence against women started after the rise & imposition of the brutal TALIBAN regime in the 1996 & afterwards. Although women suffered the most, but in general all Afghans suffered badly and it was the darkest age in the country 's history.
Before that however, women were allowed to fully participate socially, politically and economically in the life of their societies.
for instance,
In 1941: First secondary female schools were established in Kabul.
In 1959: Women were allowed to unveil, and the wives of the ruling family, and senior government officials appeared unveiled at public functions, and soon others followed.
In 1964: The constitution gave women the right to vote, and allowed them to enter politics.
In 1965: The Democratic Organization of Afghan Women (DOAW) was formed. DOAW worked against illiteracy, forced marriages etc...
For every change in the society to happen, it needs time, education , effort.... change is happening in Afghanistan and its happening rapidly, and hopefully one day it will be a much better place free of voilance etc....

(You can clearly see men and women involved in all aspects of life and enjoyed all the rights in this video of the 1970s.... )
