Pretty big issue with my uni award...
Hi, I'm a Level 4 student at university in my first year of study and thus far things have been great. However recently there's been a seriously worrying issue regarding my award. That is, I'm apparently being withdrawn (I'm trying to sort it out as we speak though) :/.

Now I'm a reasonably responsible fellow who is in no way rebellious or shows disregard for education, other people or the like - so to everyone here who inevitably doesn't know me please don't assume I'm the drop-out, careless, twatty sort of student lol . Anyway, to the issue at hand, basically I'm currently doing Philosophy and Creative Writing. There are a few core modules and the rest I just need a certain amount of credits from, and thus far all modules I've been doing well in, however for the core Creative Writing module there were two assignments - the problem being I only submitted them online, and the Creative Writing department only check and mark physically handed in copies. Because they weren't marked though (in spite of the fact that I did do the work and submit it in some form) I received a fail in the module, and consequently my award. I contacted my teacher for the module and he said to speak to the office about resubmission of my work but so far the office don't seem to have done anything despite me having contacted them numerous times.

And so the other day I got an e-mail saying I'm being withdrawn. This, of course, is really **** D:. I don't want to be withdrawn, I really want to stay studying at uni. Aside from the fact my family will kill me with their disappointment I've made a huge life commitment moving up to Stoke from Birmingham to live here and try to get a degree over the next few years, and tbh it seems really harsh to me that I have to give all this up and fail my award for simply handing in two essays incorrectly - but still doing them. Amidst this I'm seeking transfer to straight Philosophy anyway so it's not like I'd need the module and it would've gone ahead as my tutor said it was fine and I'd simply pick up two extra level 4 core Philosophy modules next year to catch up. But first I need to pass this Creative Writing module and ofc as it stands, I won't be. I'm kinda screwed. So out of curiosity, I was just wondering if anyone has any advice or supportive words they wanna give me lol. But seriously, this sucks, as you can imagine. Any help? :/

Well you did it hand it but accidentally in the wrong way. They have proof you've done it on time. I can't imagine why they wouldn't do something to correct this as it will just look bad in the uni statistics. They may cap the remark but at least you'll be able to pass and go on to the next year? Definitely need to speak to someone in charge of the course.
