I watched the WTCC highlights on Eurosport this afternoon too - Yann Muller. :coma:

Hard to believe Oriola is only 16 and in his second season though. :lolwut:

Some cracking racing in the GP2 race today! Epic battle for 3rd between the Marussia and the Lotus boys.

I like gp2. It's like f1, just without the out right speed or toys like KERS or DRS. Obviously the car helps, but driver skill seems to count a little more. Awesome pass by Gutierez (sp?) on Max Chilton on the marbles. You won't see action like that in F1!

Gutierrez is a very good driver - think he's part of the Sauber Academy, would not be surprised to see him make the step up next year.

Wouldn't mind Valsecchi moving up either, he was excellent in the Young Driver's Test a couple of years ago, guess the teams just didn't need him at the time.

Also, who do you guys reckon will be the next Briton in F1 - I've got a feeling James Calado isn't far away, his rise through the ranks has been superb - he came second in his debut seasons in both the British F3 (behind Jean-Eric Vergne) and GP3 (behind Valtteri Bottas), and he's more than holding his own in GP2 so far.

I'd like to see Chilton get it tbh. Can't say I know much about gp2 yet, but he's impressed me so far. Calado has some good skills though, as I'm currently finding out in the gp2 sprint race.

Chilton looks pretty good yeah, Colado looks decent as well, so hopefully both are future F1 prospects be great to see more brits anyway, I can see Di Resta in a very good car soon as well on that subject, he was super this weekend for Force India.

Marc Marquez looks like he's going to walk to the Moto2 crown this year if he stays injury free. He'll probably be on one of the Repsol Honda bikes in a 3 or 4 years too (at this rate he'll replace Pedrosa who is seriously under performing atm).

I've been on last weeks Wtcc today. I somehow managed to record race 2 three times and not race one... hmmm... good race though.

Gotta say that I'm preferring BSB to MotoGP this year. More overtaking. On that, there's something like 7 hours of bike racing back to back on Eurosport tomorrow... though I'll probably flick between that and the football...

Watched the WEC today, really good that the FIA broadcast it online. Incredible reliability from most classes, after 6 hours of racing the first 2 positions in GTE pro were separated by 0.6 seconds!

Six weeks until the 24 hours of Le Mans, the new Dodge Viper is supposedly appearing in GTE pro, with a huge engine advantage. The new Toyota LMP1 should be ready by then too, hope it can mix it with the Audi's. Sadly I may be going home from uni that weekend and miss it all

That at Spa? If so I watched in on motors TV.

I watched an hour or so in the middle, around 2 hours in. Enjoyed watching Quick Nick vs Bordais all over again.

Yeah it was at Spa, They look very quick through Eau Rouge, did you see the crash about halfway through the race at Radillon? One of the Gulf teams, think ti was the middle east one was making a complete mess of the race and embarressing itself, One span about 3/4's through the race before Pouhon and in the 4 or 5 point turn to get back onto the track had cars dodging it for a good minute and a bit. I was cringing every time the driver made a move further onto the track in front of cars.

Apparently tickets into the circuit for todays Moto races from Estoril are 2-5 euro's. I'd go to watch some bike racing for that price!

Very hard crash for McClure at Talladega yesterday, the roof was cut off the car and he was airlifted to hospital, sounds like he will be okay thankfully.

Nah, I must have missed that... sounds ridiculous!

Can't believe it's that cheap! Was a good race in the Moto GP class. Gutted that WSB race one was pulled due to rain.

Currently watching highlights of Taladega... it's crazy how close they get! Some of the shunts they have are just mental.

It was a bit ridiculous, I understand if he had no choice if the driver can't get the wheels to spin up to doughnut it around (ended up on the grass facing the wrong way), but it could have been handled better, the team was just as bad at Sebring.
I still don't understand why they have 2 safety cars go out at the same time, they can never time it so both pull off at the same time and it takes several laps to work out where everyone is positioned, the commentators (radio le mans if anyone is interested, great team) didn't know either.

I was surprised when the commentator said it was that cheap, watched the first few laps then put the WTCC on, 4 wheels > 2 wheels every time I can't get excited by bike racing.

They do get very close, with the speed they do too its very impressive. Did you see Montoya's crash under the safety car at Daytona? It's impressive there aren't more injuries when you think how big the crashes are.

Speaking of crashes, Tim Bergmeister crashed heavily into the armco at the end of the pitlane at Fuji 2 days ago in a porsche, no head or spine injuries but doctors are trying to save his left lung, quite a few broken bones as well it seems.

Watching it too, think Calado was a bit too aggressive on the start though!

I wouldn't have given a drive through. Seems really harsh on Leimer.

This reminds me of most f1 races here. Not much passing.
