Re: Other racing series chat threadA Rossi Repsol Honda return?(Original post by CB91)
Stoner has announced that he's retiring at the end of the season due to family reasons. What a shock tbh.
Maybe it will open a slot at Repsol Honda for Marc Marquez?
That would be good as he's an awesome champion and it huts to see him being slow on the Ducati week in and week out... -
Re: Other racing series chat threadI think Rossi has said he'd never ride a Honda again so I can't see it personally. I would love to see him dominate on that Honda though.(Original post by Motorbiker)

Re: Other racing series chat thread
Its the 24 hour race at the Nurburgring this weekend. 170 cars, the leaders only got 2 clear laps at the very start of the race before hitting traffic.
The class system is so so confusing, took about 10 minutes to explain before the race.
Incredible different in speed of some of the cars. -
Re: Other racing series chat threadGreat race overall I thought! Nice to see a result other than Chevvy, Chevvy, Chevvy!(Original post by dhr90)
Anyone catch the second WTCC race on Sunday? Great last lap! -
Re: Other racing series chat threadIt was interesting, but something needs to be done to stop those RML chevy's running away with it. I'm glad there wasn't a safety car, although it may well have been safer with one, really like that track too.(Original post by mikeyd85)

Re: Other racing series chat threadBallast / power restrictions are what I'd go with. That'd happen in the BTCC...(Original post by dhr90)

I was surprised there was no safety car tbh! Especially with the sheer number of cars puncturing tyres. And people complain about tyre management in F1!

Re: Other racing series chat threadThey do seem to have a power advantage though, Coronell's BMW couldn't keep up on the straight even with a slip stream!(Original post by mikeyd85)

I'm surprised some of the cars punctured so early in the race. The safety car in race 1 really saved them. The 2 leading chevy's would have won had they not done that fast first sector of the last lap. -
Re: Other racing series chat threadyeah, lol, puncture parade!(Original post by dhr90)

made the championship a bit more interesting though, Muller is only like 8 points ahead of Huff now -
Re: Other racing series chat thread
Anyone else getting excited for the 24 hours of Le Mans? Only 3 weeks away!
If it is wet the Audi e-tron and Toyota Hybrid will run away with the race in my opinion, not sure about dry pace though, the non hybrid R18 had the advantage at Spa earlier this year in the dry.
I am looking forward to the Nissan Deltawing car too, even though it is in its own class, and I believe it has had its top speed limited to 200mph or thereabouts going by something I saw on twitter.
Sadly I am moving home that weekend and will miss most of it
Truth in 24 II is the story of last years race and is available for free in HD on itunes right now, well worth watching whether you saw the race or not! -
Re: Other racing series chat thread
Rossi on the podium again, the Honda's struggling, Tech 3 throwing away atleast a podium and Lorenzo once again outclassing his team mate (and the field). Moto2 and Moto3 were absolute crash fests too. I couldn't believe what I was seeing when 6 bikes all inherited the lead and all crashed out in Moto3. It was mental.
And yes, I know im a week late.

Re: Other racing series chat thread
Indy 500 tonight. Barrichello starting in 10th (wouldn't it be amazing if he wins it...) Chevrolets looked strong in Quali, but Hondas we good in practice on saturday. Lotus engined cars have struggled quite a lot though and look out for Alesi to get pulled in and out of the race if he is slower that 105% of the leaders.

Re: Other racing series chat threadThanks for the reminder, I forgot this was on. Been a while since I watched Indy Cars.(Original post by Idris Dragon)
