Seconded. Moto3 was incredible! Looking forward to sachsenring, one of my favourite circuits to watch. Hopefully Lorenzo and stoner will duke it out till the end. Wouldn't mind seeing dani get a win - always have a soft spot for him - think its cos we're about the same height(Original post by CB91)
MotoGP was a bit boring except for Lorenzo being dumped out by Bautista. Wonder how much money will be dumped outside his house for that one.
Seriously though, it was just plain stupid really, he tried taking 6 bikes in one corner.
I highly recommend that people watch Moto2 and in particular Moto3. They were absolutely brilliant.
At one point in Moto3 the lead group was 24 bikes big and it went to a photo finish.

Time for cal to get a podium too...

Re: Other racing series chat threadThink will depend on the weather - vinales wasn't looking too sharp in qualifying. If it stays dry though, and he can make up so e ground, should be a great race. Moto3 fast becoming the best class to watch!(Original post by CB91)

If the gp race is anything like qualifying, who the hell knows? Ths was mental! I'm going to go with pedrosa, stoner, then a fight between Lorenzo, crutchlow, spies and bradl for third. Dani's consistently quick at this track, and had kept the momentum so far. I know stoner pipped him to the post in qual, but still. If it gets wet, Hayden may well be up there to. I'm sure he feels he's got a point to prove to Ducati. I'd like to see cal on a podium, but I'm not sure if he had he bike underneath him to beat Jorge.
as for the moto2...not sure. Espargaro was struggling in the wet, so will depend on the weather. Marquez was looking pretty quick...Last edited by flying plum; 07-07-2012 at 16:01. -
Re: Other racing series chat thread
Anyone seen Los minibikers? (and Los mini drivers). Just found them on someone's twitter feed. Hilariously brilliant!

Can't see Vinales or Espargaro winning from 24th/17th on the grid and I think Stoner & Pedrosa will clear off at the front leaving Lorenzo and Spies to battle for 3rd (hopefully im wrong on that too). Hopefully Marquez can continue his domination of Moto2.
I also hope Cortese doesn't win. He's far too dirty for my liking.Last edited by CB91; 07-07-2012 at 20:06. -
Re: Other racing series chat threadHe is certainly a...daring racer. I think Danny kent's been remarkably nature and restrained about the whole thing last weekend. Did you stoners criticisms? Is his home gp though, so no doubt he'll be pulling out all the stops.(Original post by CB91)

Apparently Ducati haven't put mugello as a deadline for cal, but spies is apparently hoping to have resigned with Yamaha by laguna...so who knows wtf is going on this year. One thing is for sure...not enough factory bikes anymore. Not sure I like the CRT thing...is just turning into a form of superbikes. -
Re: Other racing series chat threadKent has been like a saint. No matter the situation you don't smash into another racer let alone your team mate. Kent was very lucky not to go down.(Original post by flying plum)

I think Yamaha will drop Spies, put one of Crutchlow/Dovi on the factory bike and keep Crutchlow/Dovi + Smith on the Tech 3 next year. -
Re: Other racing series chat threadI'm guessing this is what cal is holding out for. But if it doesn't happen, or it goes to dovi? Ducati might be his only chance at a factory team...but can anyone except stoner actually get that bike to in anything?!(Original post by CB91)

In all honesty, I'm not sure smith is really ready to come up, and tech 3 are wasting a perfectly good seat, but I guess we'll just have to wait to see what happens... -
Re: Other racing series chat threadI think it's just a combination of Stoner's riding style fitting that Ducati perfectly and Rossi not willing to push it to the limit. I don't think Crutchlow would go there tbh.(Original post by flying plum)

Smith has done nothing to deserve that seat. I could probably name 50+ riders who deserve it more. -
Yeah...hope tech 3 have got a good lawyer...(Original post by CB91)

Great race at Mugello.

Re: Other racing series chat thread(Original post by Motorbiker)
Was it good again? Ffs, stopped watching moto3 a few weeks back and have missed a bunch of good races.
Moto2 was good again today though. No way does smith deserve a MotoGP ride though. Would much rather see it go to Redding( from the British riders) or iannone out of anyone...I won't ruin the order they finished in, but the top 3 were covered by 0.07 across the line.(Original post by mikeyd85)
I didn't... Mainly because I only just remembered to sky+ the gp at 8am after waking with a stinking.hangover....
Iannone will (or should) move up with Marquez at least. They are by far the two most complete riders in Moto2. Espargaro, Luthi and Redding im unsure on and like you said, Smith just doesn't deserve a Tech 3 seat.
Seriously though, it was just plain stupid really, he tried taking 6 bikes in one corner.

Should see some more wins hopefully...
