Hi guys.

I applied to five University’s in London, and two of those were Kingston and Queen Mary. They are the two I wanted to go to the most, but now I don't know which one of the two to make a firm decision on!

I am going to be studying Politics and Business, and would like to know if anyone has any idea which University is best for the course?

I looked on the Guardian League Table and Queen Mary seems to rank higher in both overall score and careers after six months. Does anyone know if I should base this on my decision?

Also, I am from Manchester so will be moving up to London, so I don't know what student life will be like at either Uni’s. Could anybody give me any insight into which would be the best?

Any help would be appreciated!

Queen Mary has a much better reputation than Kingston, and is also much better located, being only a couple of miles from central London, whilst Kingston is right out in the sticks near Surrey. Have you visited either? I strongly suggest you do so. The actual location around Queen Mary isn't the best, although as I said its not far from Central London and its in a self enclosed campus. Really you need to base your decision on which course you prefer and what sort of vibe you got when you went to vist.

QMUL is a far better institution academically and thus may help your future employment, but rankings aren't everything. Check out the module choice on the course, and if you can reserach into the campuses and area to see which would fit you best
