Re: Speech Therapy nightmare!Nope. I just provided evidence which showed I've been earning for 36 months (it just has to be more money per week then if you were on the dole - in fact, they even count being on the dole as being 'financially independent'!) and they now count me as an independent student, regardless of whether I've been paying rent or sponging off my parents(Original post by Blue Rose)
I graduated in 2010. I thought still living at home meant they just needed proof of my mum's income.

So, if you can prove you've been working for an aggregate total of 36 months between June 2010 when you graduated and 1st September 2013 before your course, then you should qualify. You can also use employment between college and uni, just not any time when you were in full-time education.
Hope this helps.
Edit:
So in total you can get: £2324 from Student Finance per year, £1,000 grant from NHS and £2,591 bursary. It's still not enough to live on but it really will help! Best of luck.Last edited by Spence_LJS; 19-07-2012 at 15:42. -
Re: Speech Therapy nightmare!Ah okay. Then you'll probably qualify for the whole amount anyway, so I wouldn't worry(Original post by Blue Rose)
By September 2013 I will have worked 25 months since June 2010 & my mum earns under 20k a year.
