    southampton or essex for insurance?
    hey
I have offers for film and philosophy from lancaster(firm), essex, oxford bookes and southampton. I have no idea which one to insurance, as essex has a very strong philosophy departament, but southampton is widely described as a better one...
What is more, I would have to re-take IELTS in order to go to southampton...

So, any ideas which one I should firm? many thanks!

I'd look at the particular fields of study of every single uni. If Southampton is brilliant, but you really don't like what they specialise in in terms of philosophy, going there won't help you.
