Okay, i think I've found the UMS converter now.
I'm going to assume that my AS results are UMS marks, because when I compared them to the UMS to RAW marks converter, I had my real coursework results. Not the results which were scaled down ridiculously which is my UMS hehe.

So, I got 61 in IT2 CWK & 99 in IT1.
So that is 160 overall even though I remember getting 159 overall and missing out on an A by a mark... meh I don't know. The extra mark on one of the sides won't hurt at this point.
As for my IT4 CWK I've got 95 raw marks, which using previous UMS converters it became 74 UMS.
So, 61+99+74 = 234
So, 320 - 234 = 86

So, does that conclude that I require 86 UMS in IT3 in order to achieve an A overall in my IT? Assuming IT3 CWK scaling remains the same? (plus I've resubmitted my AS cwk so I know it will increase from 63!)

So, using previous IT3 UMS scales, 86 UMS which was the same as 60 raw marks on both previous IT3 papers. Therefore, in order to achieve my A, does this mean I need around 60/90 on IT3 to achieve my A?

I was under the impression that the percentage of all my marks had to equal 80% overall, but when you made me realise my actual marks weren't my RAW marks (which I thought they were when I recieved my results last year) and they're UMS then it explains everything.
I'll ask my teacher about this because believe it or not he told me I needed something different but I'm pretty sure you're right lol

Me and my friend worked it out and converted everything fomr UMS and my teacher seems t think its correct i think you only have to get 90% on each exam if you want an A*
I didn't believe it at first either i only need 38 to get an A and out of 90 that means i only need an E! :O

Surely you must've literally got 90%+ on IT1, IT2 and IT4 then to only need an E in IT3?
It sounds so wrong, yet the UMS says its right!

I think i did though because i got 110 UMS on the exam last year and full marks on coursework, then this year i got 99/100 on coursework

EDIT: Just hope they keep the scaling of the IT4 coursework the same otherwise I will most likely require more than 60/90 -.-

Is this one much harder than AS? I'm hoping to get an A or B in this one.. I got an A on my AS retake *phew* and had to re do my AS ict c/w because all of us got marked down loads of marks -.- just hope my exams would bring the grade up.

It depends which way you look at it. IT3 has less to learn but much more anagrams, points etc than IT1.
You only need around 75% for an A overall which will equal to 96/120 UMS. Most marks in this exam from the past seem to be scaled up.
Go through past papers and see the questions you can't answer off the top of your head and recap on them, learn the anagrams/points. Because its really demoralising to keep on writing a pages worth on factors of networks or HCIs when you know them and should rather focus your time on something else.

on the front page of the answer booklet (where you put ur name, candidate numebr, etc), there is a section on the right which is where the examiner puts the marks you got for each question. I thought i would be helpful and put the question numbers next to it, in the order i did them. But there was 18 questions but only 14 boxes, but i had already put numbers on the boxes. So i crossed out all the numbers. But then i noticed that on the top, it says, 'for examiner use only'. Now i am really worried. Would anything happen to my paper because i wrote down the numbers but then crossed them out?

that systems maintenance question was awful I didn't even know what to write for about 10 minutes! i ended up putting things like costs and bugs and couldn't write anymore because I had no idea!... i thought it was an OK exam otherwise, i liked the database questions! hopefully my last exam with WJEC too!! yay for us haha!
