Re: Motivational quotes to get me through revision? :)I seee. Well how many exams have you got coming ?(Original post by Pawsies)
It's a quote that's not good for revision haha because why revise on your last day? It helps justify my procrastination

Re: Motivational quotes to get me through revision? :)oh yeaa haha that's a lot, I assumed u were born in 1991 and I still didn't clock to e fact in that you aren't actually doing Alevels =.= Well good luck(Original post by Pawsies)
3 (2nd year degree), doesn't seem like many but I have about 24 topics in each exam I need to cover so probably is the same as other workloads.
is it a lot more work than Alevels?

Re: Motivational quotes to get me through revision? :)I did AS Level and didn't revise lol. Still came out with ABC (cba was my attitude actually lol) though so must have done something right(Original post by nmudz_009)

My course is hectic. I had so many assignments this year it was really annoying but I think other courses are a lot less (humanities I believe have less contact time than sciences so there is more independent reading, well supposed to be
).
So all in all it depends on the degree. There's more independent reading and you can kind of put what you want rather than sticking to a set marking scheme. This degree is so much better for that as I hated having to write what the examiner wanted!
But there is a lot of work involved, the stereotypical student who drinks and goes out every night, well that's not me anyway. I don't have the time with all the uni work -.- -
Re: Motivational quotes to get me through revision? :)We seem to have the same dad!(Original post by nmudz_009)
"If you dont revise, and fail, you will curse the fact tht u have failed yourself. If you revise hard, and sumhow fail, we will support you no matter what."- My dad

Re: Motivational quotes to get me through revision? :)I actually have no idea how it's going. I do sciences, so I'm kind of leaving most if the rote learning till the last two days before the mocks (which start on Tuesday), cos I consider rote learning the easy but of revision. Thing is I'm not sure if that's a good idea cos it may not stick in my head properly,(Original post by examination)
ermm good I guess? Been slacking off a bit in the last 2 days
Those damned Austen and Shakespeare essays are getting the better of me
hope its going better for you than me!
I'm just doing questions from text book, and feel I've actually "learned" anything yet but I figured practising questions takes ages so better do that first
This is mainly chemistry
It does take a long time tho, an im KNACKERED by the end of the day so no time to do Maths :'( dno how that's gna goo...

what a great laugh that movie is <3
Anyway, once I understand the basics I use rote learning too. But you are right, sometimes it just slips out of your mind when you need it the most. I hate doing textbook questions... feel it is SO pointless! I find practising past paper questions quite useful if I can be bothered doing them in the first place! I'm not a very sciencey person myself but I've taken bio as a subject anyway.
Its fine if you don't do maths - sometimes its just necessary to rest for a while! I was like that 2 nights ago so just decided to treat myself to a movie before bed
I'm sure you'll do fine in your mocks but good luck all the same!

Re: Motivational quotes to get me through revision? :)haha I used to find text book questions really pointless before too, and only did past paper questions, but then, the actual paper really suprised me as it was completely different lol. I guess it tests your understanding more if you do questions from more sources. Although, I can see where you're coming from too, biology has more rote learning than any other subject. I Haaate rote learning.(Original post by examination)
